Disclaimer: I'm not associated with these boys, and I'm not making money off this. It's just fiction.
Summary: Tatsuya Ueda goes to a party at Takki's house, expecting a nice sophisticated get together. Instead, he got loud music, lots of alcohol, possible blackmail material, and a drinking challenge from one Ryo Nishikido. And that was just the beginning.

A/N: First off all, please forgive me for any OOCness. I messed with Ueda a bit, and made him into a teensy bit of a snob - but only because it makes the second and third part work a little better.

Anyways, I'm not too sure about this fic. But I'm posting it anyways because I'm tired of looking at it. Part two and three are all planned out, but I wanted to throw the mostly uneventful and boring (and probably longest) part out here first.

Um. Enjoy? Please?

Tatsuya Ueda was late.

It was already half past nine as he trod through the snow, making his way to the white double doors of the large house owned by his Senpai, Hideaki Takizawa. Tonight there was a small get together in celebration of Dream Boys 2007, and as far as Tatsuya knew, only the cast and their close friends were invited. When Kame had asked him to come along, he couldn’t refuse. The rest of KAT-TUN would be there as well, since two of the cast members were part of their group and had invited all of them.

Pulling his white coat closer around himself, Tatsuya kicked excess snow off of his boots before ringing the doorbell. As he waited for someone to answer he fixed himself up, pushing a few stray locks out of his face and fastening his white gloves for good measure before digging his hands into his coat pockets.

“Someone mature like Takizawa senpai must throw a great party.” Tatsuya spoke to himself with a smile as he waited.

It wasn’t a second later that the door was opened, and he was welcomed and ushered in by a small elderly maid. She took his coat and gloves, and gave him some house slippers to trade his boots in for. Tatsuya was told that the party was being held in the smaller of the two ballrooms, which he would find down the hall, six doors to his left.

He walked through the large house, admiring various pieces of tasteful artwork that he passed, only stopping when he reached his destination. Tatsuya looked to his left then his right, frowning. He could hear the music coming from the other side of the door, and knew he was in the right place, but couldn’t really believe it. The music was far too loud for a quiet get together like the one he was expecting, but if the maid was correct, then this had to be the right place.

It was with much trepidation that Tatsuya slowly opened one of the double doors, mouth dropping open in shock as he stood rooted to the spot, taking in the scene that lay before him.

Not only were Takki and Tsubasa nowhere in sight, but there had to have been more than the fifteen to twenty people Tatsuya had expected to be here. The lights were dimmed a bit, and loud music was coming from four huge speakers that were in front of a DJ. There were a few people dancing, some others simply swaying to the rhythm. Everyone at the party seemed to be broken off into groups, either seated at one of the few large round tables set in the middle of the room, or just standing around to the side. It wasn’t a large room like Tatsuya expected the other ballroom would be, but it wasn’t so small that everyone couldn’t be comfortable.

Finally, he took a few unsure steps into the room and closed the door behind himself, deciding to first look for his friends.

As it were, he didn’t have to look for them at all.

“HEY! Ueeee-daaaaa!” Taguchi called out loudly from the other side of the room with an energetic wave. Tatsuya might have thought it was strange to hear his friend so clearly with the music as loud as it was, but he of course was used to it by now. “Guys, guys, Ueda’s finally here!”

Tatsuya watched as the other four of his friends turned around, smiling and nodding in recognition. He made a beeline to where they were standing, all holding drinks while laughing and talking loudly over the music. This whole situation was a shock to Tatsuya, who genuinely thought that this party would be an upper-class type gathering he was used to, a peaceful and quiet celebration of Dream Boys. They would all drink wine and laugh while discussing various topics, and he would show off his piano skills and try to be humble as everyone complimented him. He expected that Takki would somehow keep his often rowdy friends in check, and perhaps they would even show a more refined side.

Tatsuya definitely hadn’t expected this wild atmosphere. Everyone seemed so comfortable and at ease, while he felt so out of place it was almost suffocating.

It wasn’t until Jin and Yuichi had thrown their arms around him in welcome that he finally felt some semblance of normalcy. Tatsuya was suddenly hit with a deep regret for not joining them for clubbing and parties on weekends; he may not have felt so out of place in this environment if he’d said yes at least once.

“Hey Ueda, want a drink? I know the guy is around here somewhere…” Jin turned his head and scanned the room.

“Ah, no, that’s alright.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, thanks though.”

Jin nodded.

It wasn’t that he didn’t drink, because he did. Tatsuya just had little self control with alcohol, and once he started it wasn’t easy to stop. He refused to get drunk and make a fool of himself at his senpai’s house of all places.

Which reminded him…

“Um, have any of you seen Takki?” Tatsuya asked between Koki and Yuichi’s loud jokes, and the raucous laughter that followed.

“He’s somewhere around here.” Kazuya turned to look around. “I haven’t seen him for a while though, now that you mention it. But there are tons of people here, so it’s not really surprising.”

“Yeah,” Tatsuya frowned. “I thought you said only the main cast and a few friends were coming. Is Takki really okay with this?”

“Aww come on, lighten up.” Jin said as he threw a lazy arm around Kazuya. “And Takki didn’t seem to mind when we told him about the few extra guests that were invited. He seemed especially glad when KanJani8 arrived with six kegs. He even kissed Subaru on the lips.”

“Tsubasa’s reaction was priceless.” Koki laughed

Tatsuya froze. The six kegs and the thought that he might have seriously misjudged Takki hadn’t even entered his mind. All he heard was KanJani8, and his mind locked down. Tatsuya almost didn’t notice Kazuya and the rest of his friends shift uncomfortably.

“KanJani8…is here?”

Tatsuya quickly searched the room with desperate eyes, stopping when he noticed the person he had counted on not being at this party sitting at a large round table with the rest of KanJani8, along with an obviously inebriated Tegoshi hanging off his lap, laughing loudly about something Tatsuya couldn’t hear over the music and the distance that was thankfully between them.

“You seriously didn’t notice…?” Koki asked from Tatsuya’s left.

“Obviously not, or I would’ve walked out the door.” Tatsuya fumed and mentally kicked himself hard for not noticing the rowdy group. He had now also finally noticed the rest of NewS sitting at another table as Koyama told a story that involved strange facial expressions and vigorous movements of his hands and hips. “And what is all of NewS doing here, nobody in their group is even in Dream Boys.”

“Oh, come on, don’t be like that, Ueda.” Koki spoke again, soothingly this time. “It’s not that bad. I mean, at least Arashi isn’t here. Remember that Christmas party at Matsumoto’s two years ago?” The group, sans a still upset Ueda and a pouting Junno, shuddered at the memory.

“Who could forget?” Jin whined, twitching at the memory as Kazuya rubbed his back comfortingly. “All of the rainbows, they were everywhere. Even rainbow paintings on the walls…”

Nakamaru nodded. “I still don’t get how they thought that a video called ‘Game Night, Cooking Outdoors, Group Sex, and 50 Other Ways to Bond’ would make a good Christmas present for each of us.”

“Hey, I liked that party.” Junno said indignantly. “And what’s wrong with rainbows? And group sex, for that matter?”

“You see?” Koki pointed at the taller man. “Junno here is fucking scarred for life.”

“Sure. Right. Whatever.” Tatsuya waved a hand dismissively. “Just tell me something, please. I know how we all got invited.” He gestured to the group of five men surrounding him and to himself. “But can someone explain to me exactly how Nishikido and everyone else ended up here?”

Kazuya heaved a great sigh, looking as if he had expected and dreaded the question. Tatsuya couldn’t help but notice the scathing look he threw Jin before he began to explain.

“See, Koki and I invited all of you right?” Tatsuya nodded. Kazuya gave a suddenly innocent-looking Jin another dirty look as he continued. “And Jin took it upon himself to invite Yuu and his friends, Ryo, and Yamapi, who invited a whole lot of people including Shigeaki, who invited Koyama, who invited Tegoshi, who invited Massu. And that’s how NewS got here. As for KanJani8,” Kazuya turned to the loud Osakans, his head tilting. “Nobody really knows for sure. Pi was as shocked as we were, and Ryo says he had nothing to do with it, but he’s an asshole, so he’s probably lying just to screw with us.”

Tatsuya nodded understandingly and sighed in defeat, crossing his arms and turning his attention back to the table, where it would seem Tegoshi had begun doing an impromptu table dance as a hysterical Massuda tried to stop him. He was able to grab onto both of Tegoshi’s legs before being pulled away and held back by a cheering Ohkura and Yoko. Tatsuya watched in mild interest before noticing a certain person, who was part of the audience that was quickly forming, turn to look at him.

Tatsuya flinched as they made eye-contact, suppressing the urge to kick something as Ryo smirked, before saying “fish lips” and sticking his tongue out immaturely. Tatsuya couldn’t hear him, but he could read his lips well enough after being called the name so many times. Tatsuya replied with a mouthed “asshole”, receiving a “pre-op tranny” in response. He wanted to respond, but was growing tired of that infuriating smirk, so instead he settled on flipping Ryo off. Sadly, he didn’t get to see the bastard’s expression since Ryo’s face was suddenly covered by Tegoshi’s carelessly tossed shirt.

Tatsuya shook his head in amusement, and was about to tell the others what happened before he noticed that he was standing all alone, save for Taguchi, who was looking around with a huge smile, moving his head to the music while taking occasional sips of the beer he was holding.

“Where did everyone go?” Tatsuya asked, scanning the room only to find absolutely no trace of the rest of KAT-TUN.

Taguchi looked at him as if he’d said something strange. “What do you mean? They said they were going upstairs to try and find a camera.” Taguchi paused. “You didn’t hear them?”

Tatsuya frowned.

“No, I didn’t. Wait, they all went together? For a camera? Are you sure?”

Taguchi nodded. “Yeah, I’m positive. They saw Tegoshi start to unbutton his shirt and Jin suggested they find a camera. He was gonna go alone and then Kame decided that for the safety of the house, he would also go, which led to Koki tagging along so the two didn’t get sidetracked, and Nakamaru decided to follow but didn’t say why, he just kind of took off after them. I didn’t go because they’ll probably get caught.” He said in one breath. “You must have been really distracted.”

Tatsuya frowned again.

“Not distracted. Just irritated.”

“Ahh.” Taguchi nodded in understanding. “I get that.”

“Yeah?”

Tatsuya turned towards Taguchi, glad to finally have a decent conversation with someone tonight. He could always count on Taguchi to smile, be sweet, and say something encouraging. Sure, his jokes were really bad and he was way too loud for his own good, not to mention the video game thing that Tatsuya just couldn’t understand. But aside from all that, lots of the things Taguchi did were done for the sake of others. If only the rest of them could pick up a thing or two from him.

“Yeah. Sometimes, when I’ve had a bad day or people pick on me more than usual, I just…” Tatsuya encouraged him with a small pat on the shoulder, smiling kindly when Taguchi turned to him with an unsure expression. The taller man returned the smile and said, “I just wanna burn stuff.”

“Eh?”

“You know,” Taguchi continued, clearly unaware of the look Tatsuya was giving him. “Nothing big or anything. Small stuff like shirts and hats and the occasional couch, things like that.” He paused as if in thought, then continued, eyes lighting up as he began to speak. “But once, when Jin accidentally stepped on my game and broke it, then laughed about it, I kind of wanted to burn his house down.”

Tatsuya openly gaped in horror. The alarm bells, red lights, and all kinds of different warnings in his head were telling him to Back. Away. Slowly.

“Oh, not with him in it!” Taguchi suddenly laughed upon turning to Tatsuya and seeing his reaction. “He’d be out of the house, of course. I’d wait for him to leave, or maybe do it while he’s staying at Kame’s. Actually, I was even gonna ask you to be my alibi if they somehow tracked it back to me. Not that I’ve really given it much thought.”

Tatsuya continued to stare.

“I’m not crazy or anything.”

“Uh, right, of-of course not.” Tatsuya smiled uneasily; he was glad to finally not be mute anymore. “I’m just gonna go now.”

“Wait, go where? What’s wrong?”

“Nothing! Nothing. Just, I’m just gonna go over…over there-” Tatsuya gestured wildly in multiple directions. “-for a little bit.”

Taguchi seemed troubled, and for a moment looked as if he were about to say something. Instead, he smiled widely, nodding his assent. Tatsuya also nodded and began walking backwards, turning only when he was a safe distance away.

This was just perfect. His friends had taken off to find a camera which they were most likely going to use for blackmail purposes, and left him with his sweet adorable friend who also happened to show early signs of pyromania.

Tatsuya took deep calming breaths, moving towards a long and narrow hallway which led to a small patio for smoking. The hallway was a bit strange, as it really was quite long, and even had a few turns. Tatsuya had never seen anything like it in a ballroom of all places, but he shrugged it off. He walked all the way through, only stopping when he saw the patio door, and not going any further. He could still hear the music, but it wasn’t nearly as loud as before, and the fact that there were no people in the hallway helped Tatsuya to calm down quite a bit.

He lowered his head, lifting one elbow to rest on the wall to his left as the other arm hung limply at his side. Tatsuya was seriously considering leaving. His friends were god knows where, he’d yet to see Takki even once, and there was nobody left that he really felt like he could talk to.

The night was turning into a complete disaster. Tatsuya sighed loudly and slumped against the wall, feeling as if things couldn’t get any worse.

“Cheer up, Ueda. You look like you saw yourself in a mirror for the first time or something.”

Tatsuya fumed. He didn’t even have to turn around to know who that voice belonged to.

“Really, I sympathize. Donkey-face.”

It was officially the party from hell. And Tatsuya felt partly responsible, since even thinking that things couldn’t get any worse must have angered some god, who felt he must be punished. What better punishment than having direct contact with Japan’s biggest little asshole?

“Fuck off and die, Nishikido.”

Ryo simply laughed and moved to stand in front of Tatsuya, annoying smirk in place.

“Aww, something’s got the Princess’s pink panties in a twist. Let me guess-”

“Really, I mean it,” Tatsuya balled his hands into fists. “Leave me alone.”

“I see you standing here without the rest of your friends, so either they finally ditched your ass - which, to be honest, is long overdue - or they were kicked out on account of being fugly and untalented.” Ryo pretended to ponder this. “But if that were the case, you wouldn’t even be here. So I guess you did get ditched.”

Tatsuya forced himself to stay calm, not wanting to bring trouble to his senpai. Instead of pounding in Ryo’s face, he wordlessly turned around, preparing the return to the party. Before he could take more than a step, Ryo took two huge steps and stood right in front of Tatsuya, effectively blocking his way. He stretched both arms out for good measure.

Having decided not to get at all physical with Ryo, Tatsuya tried to slide under one arm, then the other, but both times he was stopped by Ryo’s body, which moved quickly from one side to the next. After a few more unsuccessful tries Tatsuya finally gave up, crossing his arms and glaring at Ryo, who looked smugger than ever.

“I give up. Why are you bothering me this time, Nishikido?” He groaned, not even bothering to sound as if this wasn’t getting to him. There was no point. Somehow, the asshole could always read Tatsuya really well.

“I was bored.” Ryo answered, shrugging as much as he could with both arms almost fully stretched.

“And you decided that making small talk with me of all people would entertain you?” Tatsuya didn’t believe it for a moment.

Ryo rolled his eyes. “Who said anything about small talk? I just wanted to make fun of you and see you get pissed. It’s actually really funny. Your bottom lip sometimes does this weird thing where it tucks in and then the top one gets all pointy. It’s fucking hilarious.”

Tatsuya glared with obvious contempt. “Are you finished?”

“No.” Ryo cocked his head to one side. “What’s the rush?”

“I hate you.”

“And?”

“And,” Tatsuya moved both hands to his hips, and then crossed his arms again, only to return his hands to his hips a second later. “And - and I don’t have to put up with this, so leave me alone!”

“Oh, listen to that, you even sound like a Princess. A little too bitchy for my tastes, though.” Ryo was clearly amused.

“Could you stop calling me that?”

“What? You mean ‘Princess’?”

“Yes.” Tatsuya growled vehemently. “It’s a stupid, irritating, girly nickname.”

“Exactly. It suits you perfectly.”

Tatsuya’s almost growled. Ryo smirked widely.

“That is it, that’s it, I’ve had enough! What on earth does it take to get rid of you? My god, you’re like a little cockroach, only worse than a cockroach, because at least they run when you turn on the lights, but nothing seems to work on you!”

Ryo merely rolled his eyes. “Get rid of me? Who would want to get rid of me? I’m sexy, and everyone knows that sexy people are loved by all. You’re just jealous.” He glared. “And don’t call me little.”

“Honestly, Nishikido. I don’t know how you even manage to get any women with that ego, your attitude, and that humongous nose of yours put together. It must be pity.”

“Pity? PITY?” Ryo finally seemed genuinely offended. “This Sexy Osaka Man sure as hell does not need pity to get women.”

“Pity, sympathy, call it what you will.” Tatsuya shrugged. “Bottom line is, you have absolutely no sex appeal whatsoever. In fact, I’d say that you are actually jealous of me.”

Ryo stared open-mouthed at Tatsuya, looking as if he’d been slapped in the face. Tatsuya saw this as a good opportunity and slipped under one of Ryo’s arms, sighing in relief as he made his way back to the party.

But before Tatsuya could take more than three steps, he was roughly pulled back by his shoulders and shoved against the wall by Ryo, he grunted as his back hit the wall forcefully. Tatsuya was too shocked to move, and could only think that Ryo was really fast, way too angry, and way too close and this was pissing him off a whole lot and why had he even come to the party in the first place and he really should have punched the conceited asshole by now, right?

Tatsuya stood rooted to the spot, and Ryo took advantage of it by grabbing both of his wrists and pinning them against the wall none too gently. Their eyes were still locked, and not a single word was spoken as the space was slowly closed between them by a shockingly expressionless Ryo.

At such a close proximity, there were a few things Tatsuya noticed. Firstly, Ryo really didn’t smell that bad at all. He also noticed a mole on Ryo’s right eye that he’d never seen before. And once they’d gotten close enough to breathe on one another, there was the distinct smell of alcohol, and with the way Ryo was acting, Tatsuya wouldn’t be surprised if he were at least a little drunk.

Eye contact was broken as Ryo’s face moved past the other’s, his lips stopping just outside of Tatsuya’s left ear. He breathed hotly a few times, causing unwelcome shivers to go through Tatsuya’s spine. He couldn’t decide which was worse; being trapped like this by Ryo, or a tiny traitorous part of himself actually enjoying it.

“Listen up, Princess.” The words barely registered at this point. Tatsuya’s mind was beyond hazy. “I don’t need pity to get some.”

Ryo chuckled. Tatsuya felt his knees buckle.

“I think that’s obvious by now, though.” Ryo’s grip tightened. “Really, you shouldn’t be so open about your preferences, Princess. Some people might think it’s fucking gross.”

It took a full three seconds to completely register, and when it did Tatsuya’s eyes shot open, and just like that, the haze cleared and a strong mix of fear and anger took over. In one swift motion he had yanked his wrists away and shoved Ryo against the opposite wall. Hard. Tatsuya dusted himself off with more force than was necessary, as if he’d been touched by something extremely dirty, which, in fact, he had. He looked straight at a groaning Ryo, who seemed genuinely shocked at having been pushed with so much force, and gave him the dirtiest look he could. Ryo simply sniffed loudly and exhaled with a huff, his grimace slowly fading into a smirk as they looked at one another.

“What is it?” He laughed, but something about it seemed forced. “Did I hit a nerve?”

Tatsuya looked away, fighting off the urge to hit something or cry out in frustration. He’d been weak, and Ryo had taken advantage of it and made fun of him in the cruelest way possible. No matter what, Ryo would always find a way to crawl under his skin, and Tatsuya was powerless. It was pathetic, it was ridiculous, and he was tired of it. Without speaking another word, without sparing Ryo another glance, Tatsuya walked through the long hallway back to the party and away from him.

To hell with being proper. Tatsuya really needed a drink, and now.

To be continued...

A/N: Okay, that Junno thing? I don't even know. He just seems like that guy, you know, the guy who is constantly bullied but keeps smiling through it all, until one day, he just kinda snaps. I love Junno, though. I do. He just seems like that guy.

I promise, it gets more interesting in chapter 2. Hopefully? Well, if you made it through this, you should like the rest :D and really, who doesn't like drinking contests and drunken sex?

Edits and concrit are welcomed, needed, and desperately wanted. Comments are LOVE. Really, I'm a complete and total comment whore. Make me happy please. ♥
