i use DVD+R's - Just a general Home Video and Data Recording disc. I have a second generation burner....which is the only type that should be out for retail now. the dvd-r's are more compatible with the players though...but i personally have never had a problem...and have always used them...so until I have a problem...i won't stop with the plus...a few people here and there who have older dvd players can't play them though...but that doesnt effect me...heheheehe My burner: "NEC Black IDE DVD Burner Model ND-2500A BLK - OEM" which is an older model. I am gonna get a newer one and have 2. eeeeeee it's a dvdr/rw and ultra speed cdr/rw.... the one I want ( a speed higher) has these specs: NEC Black IDE DVD Burner Model ND-3550A - Retail Cache: 2M CD-R: 48X CD-ROM Access Time: 140ms CD-RW: 24X DVD+R: 16X DVD+R DL: 8X DVD+RW: 8X DVD-R: 16X DVD-ROM Access Time: 160ms DVD-RW: 6X Model #: ND-3550A BK RT
they are so much cheaper too...like..by half....wow...i bought mine for 84 bucks...this one is 42 bucks...and it's an upgrade of what I have...
and the program you are using to burn can also be it...and the gigs available on your comp...there is a so much to go into this...hahaha time for work...eeeeee
I don't think it's the software, I don't have to have any software running, I just open the blank disc on my desktop, and the folder/window thingie says '0 items, 4.28 GB available.' The only difference from when I used to be able to burn 4.35 GB movies (*sniff* the good old days) is the brand of disc.
Could I come over and show you my disc sometime and maybe you could show me what I'm doing wrong...?
indeed...write me your phone number... cybersushigirl@yahoo.com...k...hehehe...i can only try and see what is up though...you can see what i use on my comp... if my comp stops acting like a bozo no promises and at least i get to see you...:-)
