Okay. 'Fess up. Did anyone else play the Da Vinci Code Quest on Google? I am a total, complete and utter puzzle nerd, and always havebeen, so every day for twenty-four days I faithfully solved the puzzles, which were entertaining and actually quite addictive after a while. I sent in my registration form by the specified date and today I got an email stating I am one of the (ten thousand) finalists. I have no delusions that I'm going to win the prize package, but it IS nice to know that I'm getting one of the limited-edition cryptexes, which is scheduled to arrive this week. So, I wanna know...did anyone else play? And if so, are you ready for the final challnege?

What else? Because summer vacations have begun to creep around the corner, I have been returned to day shift for the next six weeks. Consequently, I was up at five-thirty this morning, getting ready for work. Usually, five-thirty for me is at the tail end of night shift if I'm working nights, and right in the middle of "anchor sleep" if I'm working three to eleven. I haven't seen the working end of five-thirty in the morning in a long, long time. Needless to say, it was a bit rough. However, it was nice to walk out of the hospital at a decent hour and get home to enjoy dinner at a regular time.

And speaking of hospitals...

Y'know, when this show first hit the air it really amused me because of how wrong they got some aspects of healthcare, particularly those concerning HIPAA and security. Furthermore, in most working healthcare fields, a lot of the interns' actions wouldn't be a case of "it COULD get us kicked out of the program" but rather it WOULD WITHOUT QUESTION get them kicked out of the program, so that was always kind of a sticking point for me. However, I loved the melodrama and the fact that Patrick Dempsey looks better now than he ever did had me tuning in week after week. Recently though the episodes have really struck a bunch of emotional chords...last week's episode with the pregnant woman dying had me sobbing my eyes out, and I thought I was going to make it through this week's episode without incident, when Meredith had to put down her dog I lost it again. Despite all the medical fallacies, I'm decidedly hooked, and I can't wait to see what next season brings. Whereas shows like Desperate Housewives have faltered during their sophomore season, I think Grey's Anatomy just got better this year, and I'm excited about Chris O'Donnell remaining on the cast. He looks good scruffy. :)

And now I think I'm off to bed. An early call time and the after-effects of the GA finale have tuckered me out. Hope everyone's Monday was fairly bearable...
