definitely not looking for comments, cuz this sucks. Just trying to put my thoughts in poetic form, as usual, and this one didn't turn out so well.

How funny
that a little silver chain,
so simple
hanging on my wrist,
could be of such
significance
when it is missing.

I know that
our love
and our memories
will be long-lasting.
Even photographs will last
for years to come,
slowly fading as years go by.
But such a big
chunk
has been sliced out of me
without the presence
of that sparkling birthday present.
