Managed to get through the hideous-potion-drinking successfully, though not happily. I finally resorted to filling empty gelatin capsules with the concentrated phospho-soda, using a syringe, and swallowing them with several gulps of water in twos and threes. That's definitely the method I'm going with in the future--need to get the largest-size capsules, because it's a slow process.
Also, next time I am NOT working the night shift before the prep day, because I found I had to be awake all day for the prep, and therefore was up for 28 hours. Sleep deprivation makes my stomach cranky even with ordinary food! My last colonoscopy (2001) I didn't have much trouble drinking the phospho-soda.
The procedures themselves were fine--I was out like a light. When I got home I ate a pluot (plum-apricot hybrid, very yummy!) and a bowl of Rice Krispies with soymilk, then slept all day. I don't have any discomfort except in my throat--feels like they jabbed my left tonsil with the scope!
Dr Payne said he didn't see anything alarming, so yay! Have an appointment the 26th and will get the microscopic report then.
