When the path through darkness closes, Roxas steps out, and Oathkeeper and Oblivion immediately disappear, and he reaches up to run a hand through his hair.
Roxas doesn't look entirely like himself today.
Or rather, he looks more like himself that he ever had the right to, dressed head-to-toe in black leather. Instead: dark denim, black silk, ever-present checkerboard in the form of a tie and his usual wristband, his fingerbands missing or forgotten.
His cheeks are flushed, his heart beating, some insane rhythm like he's just run a race, fought a fight - and won. He's been fighting Heartless lately just for something to do, because he can. Nothing else to do here, after all.
He's bored.
He flops down on the couch in front of the fire, toes off his shoes, and closes his eyes.
