Considering that he was already in the middle of a vacation that was taking place in an alternative version of medieval Germany, he really shouldn't have been so very surprised that he'd end up somewhere else. After all, Frye visited often and he was bound to leave open a few shadows every once in a while. Everyone made mistakes.
