Kelly Jones and Polly Holmes, St Trinian's (2007); Zoe Washburne, Firefly : Barplace

Jun 16, 2010 18:59

Two late-teenage girls are sitting at a table: one's tall and gawky, her red-orange hair piled in two twists high on her head, the other's dark-haired and curvy, red lips in an elegant grin. Though they look a little too old for it, both wear black-and-white school uniform, the first girl's practical, the second's tailored to flatter every curve.

Their heads are close together over their tea and Parisian patisseries. They may be discussing school business, they may be planning a jewel heist ... or they may be flirting.

Dare to find out?

Meanwhile, Zoe Washburne's sitting at a table with green tea and and a pastry of her own. She has a gun on her hip as standard, but she's more settled today, at work on a word-painting with water-colours supplied by bar. Her dark eyes are peaceful and as steady as her hand, her paintbrush sending graceful blue marks over her canvas.

It's likely she still could stand to be bothered.
