The last time that Henry Blackwood heard tell of Sherlock Holmes, the detective had shot Henry's wife in the process of rescuing his doctor friend. The last time that Henry Blackwood heard tell of Sherlock Holmes, Blackwood had still been male.

(He - well, she, now - is now simply operating under Bar's reassurances that the effects of the mints that had been out on the bar earlier will wear off in a day or so.)

When the woman at a nearby table (now dressed in clothing that fits herself now) spots Holmes, her only reaction is a bemused, "Hm," as if to say, 'Well, you weren't really who I was expecting.'

She brushes her hair from her face with one hand, lips forming a vaguely discontent moue. (Her father's ring still sits place of pride on her hand.)

"Evening."

"Fresh introductions may, I believe, be in order. Lately I am known as Stratocaster."

His lips quirk.

With deep irony: "It's quite unfashionable to keep one's living name, you see, when one is no longer living."

"My name remains the same," she says, as demure as can be now that the word is applicable.

"I have not yet completely burnt the bridge between this mortal coil and the other."

As cheerful as can be, "More's the pity. The devil would love to get his hands on you."

Blackwood snorts, the smile on her face nothing but wry.

"I don't doubt it."

"I speak from conjecture, of course, not direct experience. Thus far, I have happily escaped becoming personally acquainted with the man who holds that title."

"Lucky you. I don't doubt he'd be a fascinating subject for you."

"Or I for him," he says, serenely.
