And for that same reason, although he wouldn't have been able to put a finger on just what it was about it, that smirk made Donny that much more uncomfortable with the situation. A look like that seemed to speak against what the woman assured him of.

The flask reappeared on the bar-space nearest to him and, without even looking, he snatched it off the counter and took a hearty swig. "You keep it that way, I won't hafta."

If Donny hadn't already reached the maximum peak of surprises tonight, he might have done something akin to a spit-take. As it was, he snorted, anyway. Which, unfortunately, spilled a bit of the liquor on his lips. Wiping it off with the back of his hand only served to piss him off more when he felt how smooth everything was. Not. Fucking. Right. "Maybe you ougta put down the pint glass, dollface," he grumbled, although, this time, the snarl was directed mostly towards himself. "Broads can only take so much an' you're slippin' past confused and right on inta crazy."
