She takes a breath. She isn't quite used to anyone outright challenging her; being the heir of the Chosen Mord'Sith, and from a land that knows Mord'Sith, she's fairly used to not needing to show force.
A look normally is enough.
Her hand slides to her Agiel, lightly touching it.
"It would make for an unfortunate evening," she says, almost bored.
"Called it," he says cheerfully. "The dominatrix gear was kind of a tip-off. So you're all scary where you're from, huh? Me too. Maybe we should start a club."
Being annoying is a habit of his. He's been working on it, but it's slow going.
She finally turns to get a good look at the guy. She looks him over, gauging things like height, weight, approximate body strength...before turning back to the cake and ordering herself a cup of coffee.
"Have you ever heard of Mord'Sith? The power of the Agiel?" she sounds, for the first time, faintly amused.
Chainsaw is big, and bulky, and strong. And he carries himself like somebody who has not felt fear in a very long time-confidence bordering on arrogance.
"Nope and nope," he answers brightly. "And you've never heard of Downside, I'm betting."
Ariella is fairly tall for a girl, though, not nearly as tall as Anna-Sophia. She's lithe and strong, years of sword-play and hard work evident through the leather.
She knows fear. It takes the name of Mother.
"Downside. No, I haven't. Should I note it, or pass it by, if given the option?"
It draws Chainsaw's attention.
Also, you know, all the leather. That's worth a second glance too.
(ooc: couldn't resist throwing a torturer at the Mord'Sith!)

There's only one person that can sneak up on her, and all he wants is to give his older sister sneak-attack hugs. It's awkward.
"Your eyes have misplaced your drink," she says, not even looking at him. "They should find it again."

He smirks.
"And what if they don't?"

"Mord'Sith are the protectors of the Lord Rahl," she says flatly. "Enforcers, torturers, inquisitors. We are the power behind the power."
It doesn't hurt that she'll be protecting her twin brother.

It's too ingrained into her personality. She is what she was raised to be. Mord'Sith.
She may take a while to get going, but, when she lets go, one should hope Michael is around to pull her back.

He gives her an appraising glance.
"And if it didn't, you'd be competition, and we can't have that."
Reply
"Competition for what, exactly?" She's never been one to completely ignore things like that.

She takes a sip of her coffee. Black, of course.
