Marcus Fineman [OC] - Multidimensional Bar of Your Choice

Marcus is at the piano.

He's been 'here' for a while, and for a guy who's been Bound, he's taking it rather well.

He's grinning anyway.

But Marcus is also playing, a simple lilting melody that he hums along to, his throat a little sore from the cold out back. He has a little sign up, just a piece of paper that's been bent in half.

And there's someone watching him, and listening.

Axel can sense the fire, but he's more or less enjoying the music, so he'll wait until the guy's done before he says anything.

"You want me to play something?"

He doesn't turn away from the piano. He's just curious.

"I... don't know," Axel says. He hadn't considered the question. "Do you know anything fiery?" It's the sort of thing that would speak to his soul.

He plays the first few lines of something with a touch of fire to it.

[killitwith_fire]

Blink.

He grins.

"Yeah, like that."

[mm_danii]

He slides into the rest of the song, playing with real fire, passion and drive and love.

The fire resonates. The love... Not so much.

But it feels good to have something that resonates with his soul.

"You're pretty good," he says after a little while.

[mm_danii]

He finishes with a laugh.

"I try my best."

[killitwith_fire]

"...Are all musicians this cheerful?"

Granted, his immediate experience is rather limited, but so far, it's two for two. He didn't know any muscians Before.

He shakes his head.

"Nope. That's just me."

"Guess you're one of the lucky ones then," he says.

[mm_danii]

He blinks.

"Huh?"

[killitwith_fire]

"It's nothing," Axel says with a smile.

[mm_danii]

"Well, it's something, but I'm guessing it's some kind of inside joke?"

Axel laughs. "You could put it that way, if you want," he allows.
