Alex Mercer / Prototype / Bar

Aug 19, 2009 23:32

The door opens - slams against the wall, actually - and a man in Marine fatigues barrels through. For a moment the stench of disease and the sounds of rapid gunfire follow him through, together with a bullet that wings his shoulder before he turns and slams the door shut, leaning against it heavily. He's panting, but it looks more like habit then ( Read more... )

(OOC: Welcome to the sandbox. Just let me know if there's anything I can do to clear up questions or such.)

Sameth watches him enter and is standing up with a spell ready to fire if need be. He's not much to look but his clothing is rather different, slightly medieval in a linen shirt and breeches as he watches to see what Alex might do.

Alex notices the boy standing up first and eyes him up warily, face half-shadowed.

"I'm not gonna cause trouble."

His voice is kinda soft, though tense and tired-sounding.

"Looks like you just came from some."

He relaxes slightly but the spell is still ready just in case.

Alex looks at the space of wall behind him where the door should have been. He looks...concerned for a moment, then shakes it off.

"Yeah...yeah, you could say that."

.... thaaaat's kinda new. Ellen shakes her head rapidly to clear it. People where she comes from have a lot of issues, but the woogly thing with the tendrils? New.

Well, maybe it's a weird side effect of some relative of Stealth Boy technology.

"Um," she says to the man who walks up to the bar. "Are you all right, sir?"

Alex turns slightly, eying the woman up warily.

"Yeah. Think so."

He rubs the shoulder that was caught absently, but there's no sign of a wound, not even a rip in the jacket.

"Uh...where is this place?"

"They call it Milliways, sir," Ellen says. She's wearing her reinforced Vault suit at the moment, a denim-and-gold jumpsuit with bits of armor plating or padding at critical points. "It's supposed to be at the end of the universe, and kind of a pocket out of time. I don't know how one goes about proving that, but the time part seems to be true, at least."

"Milliways? End of the universe? Well...I've seen some insane shit in my time." Alex leans against the bar, forcing himself to relax. This wasn't Manhatten, there were no infected and given the fact that this place had just...appeared in place of his sister's old safehouse kinda proved the space/time thing.

Maybe he'd sit and work it out one day.

"I'm no 'sir'." He tags on after a pause. "Interesting clothes." Alex looks at the woman more closely, eyes intense under the hood. "Where do you come from?"

"Regeneration...tricky business."

Alex is studied, cautiously, carefully. Wings are ruffled, not-quite-irritably. "New?"

Alex turns to the voice, eyebrow rising as he slowly looks the owner over. A guy with wings? Not the strangest thing he's ever seen, but certainly...different. And a hell of a lot more pleasant then what he has seen.

"Not particularly. Regeneration's easy for me." He answers, finally, turning to face him properly. "And yeah. I am." Arms are folded across his chest and Alex stands defensively.

"Believe me, Alex, I know how easy it is for you. But on the whole it can be rather tiring, can't it? Bones from blood, poetic as it might sound, isn't easy however you stretch it."

Davi only raises an eyebrow at the defensive stance. "And me without my flaming sword. Relax, I'm not going to hurt you."

The defensive changes subtley, intense pale eyes narrowing at the guy opposite him dangerously.

"How'd you know my name?" He snorts at the 'flaming sword' statement. "And I've heard that before." His arms come down, but not to relax - his jacket and skin seems to become like black ink in water, writhing around his hands.

The boy doesn't feel like an infected, but he wouldn't have put it past Gentek to have tried to play god in other ways then the Blacklight virus after all...
