It's uncomfortable enough when Ben does it. Hence, rather than being greeted with a smile, Anakin's greeted with a scowl.

"I don't know who you're hiding from here."

"Certainly not my favourite sister," he says wryly, glancing at her. Then flashing a bright (if slightly forced) grin, just to annoy her.

"Because if I was, I clearly failed."

She rolls her eyes and takes a seat next to him, ignoring the quip. There seem to be more interesting things a food.

Like that Star Destroyer.

"What's going on?"

He looks back at the holo himself for a moment, silently contemplating it, then turns it a little so she can see it from a better angle.

"The Skywalker. Jacen's ship."

(Hey, it still has to be called Anakin. WHAT. AUs totally work like that.)

"Ben got this from one of his friends in the GAG. I've never been on it; I need to know the layout."

And this? This is where the fun of timelines comes in.

Because the thirty-four year old Jedi scowls again, this time in confusion. "Why? It was decommissioned two years ago. Kriff, so was the GAG."

Anakin blinks. Jaina has officially confused him; he gives her a slightly uncertain look.

"It wasn't even built two years ago."

Maybe she caught some crazy from those Mandalorians.

Crazy, thy middle name is Solo. Except in this case.

"Yes," she speaks slowly, staring at him with equal uncertainty, "it was. And two years ago, we stormed the Skywalker during the Battle of Shedu Maad and I did my job. You and Jag found me afterwards."

"Your--"

He grimaces. He knows what Jaina thinks her job is. It's something they don't even argue about anymore, because it always ends the same way. Or doesn't end, more to the point.

"There's been no battle at Shedu Maad," he says slowly. adding yet in his own mind. He's not stupid enough to think they can hide forever; he doesn't want to, anyway. That's why he's got the holo and the notepad. "Unless -- oh, no. Timelines?"

"Stang," Jaina mutters under her breath, giving the hologram a frustrated poke. The image wavered for a moment before she flashed a crooked grin at her brother. "At least it's only a handful of years this time. Last time, I swear you were in kriffing diapers, Anakin."
