There's an Elias at the bar eating dinner and chatting amiably with Bar. He's sporting a new haircut that's really very different from his usual mullet. It's short, for starters, and rather more LA than is usually seen on the average Jersey boy.

A head tilts over and smiles at Elias.

"Talking to the counter? That's nice of you."

He smiles back.

"Yeah, Bar's great. She's one of the best friends I've ever had."

He says this in all honesty.

"I've never talked to her like I'm thinkin' you talk to her, but I try to be a little more chatty than just placing my order. I figure it's only polite."

He tips his head in curiosity.

"Who are you?"

He holds his hand out.

"Marcus. You?"

He's got a bright grin on his face and he sort of feels like sunshine does.

"I'm Elias."

"Elias. Cool, man, and nice hair," he points out. "Got a nice smile too, but people get all creeped out when you mention stuff like that."

"Thanks, man."

He looks around.

"Where you from?"

"I'm from Leonardo, New Jersey. How 'bout you?"

"Yeah, my boyfriend's a rockstar. But I was into music a long time before I met him."

"I know! I'm still totally geeking out over it. I mean, this kind of thing never happens to me."
