Tiwa doesn't recognize Victor and meeting new people is much nicer than friends who ask pointed questions so she walks over and gives him a grin. She still has one little braid with beads and shells in her hair,

"Hello."

"Hello," Victor says. His expression is placid, unchanging as he directs his attention from the bar at large to Tiwa.

"Have you been here before?"

He's quite soothing in a way which is nice.

"No," Victor says. "I was going to have lunch. We're having chicken today."

But this is not the cafeteria.

"Oh well this is Milliways and you can get chicken here too if you like."

She gives him a headtilt, trying to figure maybe he's a student at uni or something like that.

Victor accepts this information as readily as - well, as readily as he accepted the information about what was for lunch.

"I like chicken," he says.

"Then you should have some. I'm Tiwa and what's your favorite way to have chicken?"

Victor's expression does shift now, to mild puzzlement. He doesn't understand the question. He looks at Tiwa and waits for clarification.

So Tiwa headtilts back at him,

"Grilled, fried, chicken salad, spicy?"

"Salad is healthy," Victor says, picking out the only word in that list other than chicken that holds any meaning for him.

"Yeah but sometimes healthy stuff can be boring."

"Healthy food is good for you," Victor says.

Dolls don't get bored. Aimless, if the staff at the Dollhouse doesn't direct them when needed, but not bored.

"That's why its called healthy but its not the most interesting stuff out there. Bar could we get a selection of chicken dishes starting with chicken salad and ending with a good spicy peri-peri roast chicken?"

Clearly Tiwa needs to educate Victor about the more fascinating aspects of food.

Victor watches with something approaching interest as the food appears. Usually there are servers dishing food out to the Dolls. And chicken always looks the same when it's served.

Tiwa just grins and looks at all the choices,

"Looks like she's arranged them from mildest to spiciest so try them and see what you like."

The first dish Victor tries is toward the spicier end of the spectrum.

He looks thoroughly shocked for a moment. The Dollhouse is carefully calibrated for maximum peace and serenity - a quiet atmosphere decorated in quiet colors, staff members who never raise their voices, and food that is appealing and exquisitely cooked, but bland and unsurprising.

Victor did not expect his food to bite. He swallows, wincing as it goes down, and takes in a great breath of air. A glass of milk appears; Victor takes a long drink.

He looks at the plate for a moment. Then he takes another bite.
