There's a table in the... theoretical space. Roger is at it, with a book on advanced Economics. He, despite all possibilities to the contrary, looks like he's actually enjoying it. He wouldn't mind being bugged, though.

Josh has been in a state of befuddled 'WTF' ever since he stumbled into this interdimensional space. So when he sees a familiar face, a beeline gets made.

The fact that the familiar face is his boyfriend is a bonus. "Roger!"

Roger looks up and beams. "Josh! Hey! Get your ass over here and have a seat."

"Gladly." And he's there. "Does this kind of thing happen a lot? I was heading into BritLit."

[mm_quinby]

"I don't know about a lot, but enough." Roger makes a face. "I was trying to get to econ, but clearly, this isn't that." He shrugs. "You won't lose time. That's the great thing about this place. When you leave, you'll just wander back to Britlit."

"Oh, cool." Beat. "Wait, you're used to this kind of thing?"

[mm_quinby]

"Um." Roger sighs. "Mom and Dad met in a place like this. Angie and I've been here a couple of times, actually."

[mm_ali]

"Well, there are worse places to meet." Josh is adaptable. He grins mischievously. "They didn't meet by literally running into each other, did they?" Like father, like son?

Roger idly swats at Josh. Missing totally on purpose, of course. "No, you brat, they didn't. I think they actually met because Dad was fiddling with his camera, and Mom asked him about it."

[mm_ali]

"Sorry," he says, clearly not meaning it. "So no time passes? Guess I can try reading the chapter I didn't get around to finishing."

Roger just makes a face at him and shrugs. "Yup. Go ahead and read." He looks around. "And get something to drink if you want. There's usually someone scurrying around to take orders."

"M'not thirsty at the moment." He opens his book. "Saw your dad a few days ago at the Life."

[mm_quinby]

Roger's head cheerfully meets his Econ text. "Oh. Um. How'd that go?" Murf. Stupid parents.

[mm_ali]

"He didn't maim or kill me. Said he wanted to know me a bit better." Beat. "Went better than I expected though really I didn't know what to expect."

[mm_quinby]

"With Dad, you never know what to expect." Roger pauses. "Well, other than a distinct lack of maiming or killing. I think I've only heard of one time when he's ever hit anyone."

"When was that?"

[mm_quinby]

"Um. It was back between when Dad did Moving Pictures and Soul Music." Roger thinks for a moment. "Before any of us were even born. He totally decked Chris Grey for trashing the Moving Pictures set."
