The bruise on her face is pretty much gone, on her neck there's an awful looking scar and under her windbreaker she's hiding the cold iron scars

Walter enjoys walking outside at the bar--it's much greener than New York is.

Despite the almost rustic setting, though, he's still a little surprised to see a person in a tree. That's probably why he's stopped to stare at Tiwa.

She looks down at him and gives a rather quick smile, he's not someone she knows,

"Hey, never seen a bird in a tree before?"

"I have," he says slowly.

He's not sure how that relates to her being in the tree.

"Course, don't think I've seen you around before."

[mm_mono]

Walter scratches his head. "I don't come around much, I guess."

...We admit it, he's still trying to work out the bird connection.

He might get hints later, maybe,

"Its a good place. I'm Tiwa."

"Yeah," he agrees. "I'm Walter." And after a short pause: "It's nice to meet you."

"Where are you from, Walter?"

She's going to stay up in the tree for now, its comfortable there and just feels right.

Walter doesn't mind. Even at this age, he's not entirely comfortable around girls.

"New York. It's not nearly as colorful as here."

"Few places are, though I've heard New York is sweet since its so big."

[mm_mono]

"Really big. I haven't even been from one end to the other."

[pi_wakawaka]

"Do you ever get lost?"

[mm_mono]

"No, I've got a map," he says with a faint smile. "And I live pretty close to where I work, too."

[pi_wakawaka]

"Oh but getting lost can be fun when you just fly to see where you end up."

[mm_mono]

"I think I'd probably get mugged," Walter admits. "I hear there's a real gang problem."

Tiwa nods and pulls at her sleeves for a moment,

"Yeah, that'd be bad."
