Billy's out of uniform tonight. That in itself is worth noting. Also worth noting is the fact that he's not hiding behind some half-finished invention but rather contemplating a mug of tea.

Bar may have given him decaf.

A couple tables away is a quite familiar red-head with a cup of tea of her own. Hers, however, is in a flowered mug and is green tea with honey. She's thinking, but with a smile on her face.

Of all the people Billy would've expected to see here, Penny was pretty far down on the list. Based on his admittedly limited interactions with her, she seemed too... normal for a place like Milliways.

When he finally looks up from his mug and spots the oh-so-familiar face, he lets out an involuntary squeak.

Penny looks up from her tea, and a tiny smile crosses her face. "Oh... hi. You're... you're the boy from the laundromat."

"Oh, uh. Yeah. Hi."

Max is somewhere he should not be: downstairs.

He should be in bed.

He's not exactly sure why he isn't, since he looks like... well, crap, to be honest. He's in his PJs, blanket wrapped around his shoulders and trailing behind him, standing there, staring blankly at the bar.

Billy's on his way to the bar for a refill - specifically NOT decaf this time, thanks.

"You... look like you need to lie down."

Which, of course, is a slightly more polite way of saying 'Wow, you look terrible.'

"I've been in bed for..."

"I'm not that sick!"

"Woah, dude." He holds up a hand. "I'm not the Sick Police. Just... don't pass out or anything."

There might be a small little robot rolling up. There is no, however, shiny garbage on Billy's table ... this time.

Hmm.

That might need remedying, thinks the little 'bot. So there's .... really old socket wrench. Billy will be pleased, right? He likes them kinda things.

The noise of the wrench gets Billy's attention, and he smiles as he spots the little 'bot.

"Hi."

There is what might pass as greeting trill, before the little bot rolls off.

He returns, summarily, with more junk. Billy likes tools, y/n?

"Wow. That's quite a collection."

A little (tiny) boy approaches him, a sheet from a coloring book in his hands.

"Hiya."

Billy just... stares for a moment. SMALL CHILD TALKING DOES NOT COMPUTE.

Or something.

"Hi."

He holds out the coloring book sheet, which has on it a scene of a bunny and a hippo waltzing. The bunny is colored purple and the hippo is orange.

"This is for you."

"Oh. Cool. Thanks."
