This is not where Dominic Greene had intended to be.

Fortunately, where he had intended to be is caught in a time-freeze as of the moment he steps over the threshold into the bar, so when his door disappears, he isn't as mad about it as he could have been.

Although the last time he appeared here was some time ago, he remembers enough to start walking

He's the one who's not Antoine so Tiwa sends a paper airplane made from her homework with some magic on it straight towards his drink.

If Dominic knew he was being categorised as 'that one person who is not the other person', he would probably resent it.

As it is, the drink now conveniently running a dark streak down the front of his tuxedo is enough.

This wasn't a rental, yo.

Tiwa giggles behind her homework and will be working quite diligently if he looks over her way.

He's seen that particular ploy before, but he isn't in the mood to call her out for it.

So -- first order of business -- he gets a small towel from the bar. Graciously, Lady Bar has provided one without any pattern.

Except the kiwi bird stitched onto a corner.

But he hasn't noticed that yet.

She whispers at a wait rat and he gets a new drink though this one has a small blue umbrella in it.

The drink gets a dubious look, and Dominic plucks the umbrella from the glass, folding it closed and returning it to Lady Bar.

And he glances over (again) in Tiwa's direction.

She gives him a totally innocent grin and wave,

"Sorry about your drink."

"No need to apologize," he says, smiling pleasantly enough. "Though I should hope your luck holds a little better than mine."

Tiwa comes over with a small smile,

"What's been wrong with your luck?"

[ofgreatinterest]

"Not much, lately," he admits, "But wishing another well can hardly be considered a crime."

[pi_wakawaka]

"Of course not, that's a nice thing to do, but you said you wished my luck was better than yours."

[ofgreatinterest]

"I've encountered a few complications recently, but I've got some people looking after it."

Coughjamesbondcough.

[pi_wakawaka]

"Oh, complications that are good or bad?"

[ofgreatinterest]

"Bad."

[pi_wakawaka]

He gets a long considering headtilt,

"Are you faster or smarter than them?"

"I'm smarter, if not faster."
