To be honest, Mikhail was expecting something flashier with his afterlife.

It seems to be, apparently, a bar.

Who arranged this? Really. This is what loyalty and service gets him in the end?

"Hello, Mikhail," says the bald man at the bar.

Mikhail turned, his face not betraying his surprise.

"Mr. Locke," he said. "So this is the afterlife."

"For you, it is, but not for me. How'd you die?"

[patchy_other]

"Sealing the fate of one of your friends. For the good of the island, of course," Mikhail said.

[agreathunter]

Locke nods. "Right. Of course you did. It's just too bad that Charlie and Desmond accomplished what they went down there to do."

[patchy_other]

Mikhail frowns. "I failed."

[agreathunter]

More nodding. "That you did. But the good news is, since you're new here, the first drink you order is free. Better make it something strong."

"If this is not hell, where have I come?" Mikhail asked. He tried to straighten up his clothes a bit. All the bloodstains were a problem.

"End of the universe. A place called Milliways Bar. Got every kind of drink you can think of. It probably has better vodka than you could ever imagine."

[patchy_other]

"And this is where I shall spend eternity?" Mikhail said. "This is... unexpected."

[agreathunter]

"Well, no. This is where you'll spend part of your eternity until the Landlord decides it's time for you to go."

[patchy_other]

"God?" Mikhail said.

[agreathunter]

Locke tosses his hands up. "Who knows? He's just the guy who runs this place."

[patchy_other]

"This is very strange," Mikhail says. "I think I will need a drink."

[agreathunter]

"Ask the Bar," he says, patting the bar. "She'll give you anything you want."

[patchy_other]

"All I have to do is ask?" Mikhail said.
