She's sitting at the bar, avoiding the barsnacks (or was it barsnakes?) and sighing tiredly. Roshaun had stayed at the Dormouse's shop investigating something but while she was interested, she'd been having itchy feet for a while and had opted to head for Strangefellows for a bit. As such, here she is, a little bit bored and considering asking ( Read more... )

There's a blonde in a black coat poking aorund. he's never been here before, but that's not unusual - there are a lot of places he's never been. He does look a little lost though, especially when he pushes back the hood so he can get a better look around.

She peers down at him, giving him a grin.

"Hey, Padawan Goth... you're new around here."

Blink. "Excuse me?"

He's never heard of a 'Padawan,' and as far as he's read, 'Goth' is either someone an awful lot like Saix, or a style of architecture.

She grins cheerfully.

"Hi. How are you. Nice to meet you. Pleasant day we're having."

Snort.

"Or night, considering."

"Where is this place?" he asks. "It's... not the Dark City."

It feels too alive, too not-empty for that.

She leans on her elbows.

"Well," she says, "You're in the Nightside, only place where the battle between Light and Darkness is null and void."

Beat.

"Weird, ain't it?"

"Yeah," he agrees after a moment.

"There's really no battle between Light and Dark here?"

She shakes her head.

"Nope, not even a little. Trust me, I'd know. It's kinda my job."

"That's..." He's not really certain. This place might be ideal for finding his answers - that's why he'd left the Organization.

She smiles.

"And here I thought people here knew about Wizards."

"Wizards do magic," Roxas says. "I've read about them, but I've never met any."

It's occurred to him that a wizard might be able to help him find his answers. Someone wise and knowledgeable... Or at least possessed of a very large library he can raid.

"Wizards do wizardry," she corrects. "And I'm surprised you're not one of them if you've read about them. Or didn't the Oath work out for you?"

No judgement. The life of a wizard wasn't for everyone.

Blink. Blink.

"...Oath?" He's never had to take an oath of any kind; loyalty to the Organization is just kind of assumed.

Maybe it's one of those things. From Before. About the Keyblade. Things that he can't remember.

"Does it have anything to do with Keyblades?"

She quirks her lips.

"Nope, though I've been thinking of petitioning for lightsabers," she admits. "Mostly, Wizards have manuals."

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out what looks like an iPod nano.

"This is mine."

He wouldn't know an iPod if it bit him on his nose; to him it looks like one of the things he's seen lying around in Axel's Proof.

"...what's it do?"

She looks down at it.

"Spot?"

Then it folds out. And out. And out and out and out until it's a nice sized laptop, the screen open to show an apple wallpaper... except that there's no bite out of the Apple logo.

"Yes?"

She grins.

"You got a name? Cause this is Spot."
