Anakin Solo (& Terriermon) - Star Wars - military base, a la thisisarea42

[ooc: Think Stargate Command -- huge top secret underground military installation where weirdness happens -- except with more above-ground buildings. Not many, though, and it's all in the south west somewhere so there's little to see. Most important things are in the main underground building. The base is populated by some NPC military guards, a ( Read more... )

"Where yet?" asks a voice.

The voice comes from a person, at closer inspection - a girl in her mid-teens who looks really, really really confused. She's gotten the spiel, and yet finds the entire thing extraordinarily odd.

When you're part of the Creation Myth Taken As Fact and find out you're fictional, it's a little jarring.

"--oh!"

He stops and tilts his head to study the newcomer, while Terriermon grumbles, "Anywhere but here, lady."

Anakin shushes her and offers a smile. "Sorry. Anyway, I don't know; I guess I'm just waiting for something to happen. Stuff usually does. Are you new?"

"Um. Yeah. I haven't been here for longer than an hour and already lost my cousin."

That was his fault, though.

He was stupid.

"What kind of animal is - she?"

"--I'm not a stupid animal!"

Anakin winces. "She's a Digimon -- digital monster, from one of the other worlds. She's pretty loud sometimes."

He shrugs (just one shoulder), then tilts his head again with interest.

"But you came with someone else? I'm sure he's around. Or she. The computers are usually good for finding someone if you need to."

"Sorry!" Ziva gives Terriermon a guilty shrug. "I don't know any better, really, I swear it, stupidity is an excuse. And he's trying to avoid me, I bet. Tired of babysitting. He might actually be in here right now and nobody can tell, 'cause he does that, but usually I can feel him?"

Terriermon hmphs and folds her arms, using her ears to keep balanced on Anakin's shoulder. This is mildly awkward for him, and he glances up before looking back at Ziva.

"Feel him?" He's curious, now. "Are you a Jedi, too?"

A Jedi - well, that would be kind of cool. Though maybe 'cool' isn't the right word. Ziva never had much of an interest in feeling that particular sensation.

"Um, I'm a mage? Sort of. He is, a real trained one and everything. I'm not yet because of age. Which is a joke, but my mother's very insistent."

Her parents fight about it - people usually run away from the spraybottles and small explosions.
