She got a room and some fresh clothes-- the blouse and businesslike pencil skirt are a major improvement over Pilcher's nightshirt, though she hardly thinks she can afford it all

Will has taken to claiming a particular table in the corner for himself; it's got a good view of the bar, including the stairs up to the rooms, and a fairly easy route to the lakeside door.
He's obviously tense, scanning the room, but he relaxes slightly when he spots Clarice and gives her a nod.
There's not much point in bothering with small talk-- even if small talk around here would probably involve interdimensional weirdness and the curious resemblance her room here bears to the one she shares with Ardelia at Quantico.
She frowns, tensing. It's not so much that she's recalling the conversation-- its details have been floating through her mind since the encounter-- as allowing it to move to the forefront.
(Brave Clarice. I keep you in my thoughts, you know.)
"Nothing worth reporting," she says, voice as level as if she were talking about somebody else. "He told me some things about the way this place operates-- I'd like to see if you can verify them at some point. I asked him what he intended to do here; he declined to give me an answer."
Clarice shakes her head. "Following our conversation, I went to my room. I suppose he could have followed me there if he'd wanted to-- he can still probably find it fairly easily if he's willing to expend a little effort-- but since that evening, I haven't seen any Hannibal Lecter from any time period." A wry twist of smile. "... Actually, I take that back. I may have seen the versions with double-X chromosomes. But if I did, I didn't recognize them and they didn't approach me."
He snorts softly. "They're around -- I spoke with one the other night -- but I haven't seen Lecter. I wonder if he's going back and forth between here and wherever he's gotten to."

As she has nothing in particular keeping her by the bar, she picks up the glass of water she'd asked for and makes her way to Will's table.
"Hey."
... She should probably tell him about her conversation with Lecter.

A quick glance around the bar, though nothing is different now than it was while she was standing.
"How are you?"
She means: Has anything happened?

"That's more or less it."

"I'll verify what I can. Did he ask you any questions?"

"That's something else he said. About where he's from, that is."
Or when he's from.
