He wasn't expecting it.
Knowing his luck, he never would have found it.
But when he tried the door this time, it worked. It actually worked.
For a moment, he could only stand in shock. Something fell from his hand and landed with a soft clack against the floor. Observant eyes would be able to see that it was a comb. But after a moment, he bends

However, hair like that cannot go un-commented-on.
"That 'do natural?" she asks. She's at a table some yards from the bar, one arm on the table, curled around a plate of chocolates, and the other wrapped around the neck of a white Borzoi.

"It is my natural hair, though I'm afraid it takes two hours every morning to make it look this good."
He really should see if his talents can help make the process quicker.

Well, there is Dragonlight Potions, but he's not about to go there and ask Draco of all people for anything to put on his hair. Even Mia agrees sometimes that her husband looks like a greasy weasel with all of that goop.
"But I'm afraid that I can't devote all of my time trying to make my hair look good. There are important matters at home that require my talents."
His chest puffs out a little with pride. Mia has put a lot of faith in him.

"So you're from one of the magic worlds? What's it called? -- I'm from Earth."

To say that he doesn't sound thrilled about it is to say that the sun is a little on the warm side.
"I'm from Lunar. We can see the Blue Star from there. I had trouble believing anyone actually lived on there until..."

She offers up the plate of chocolates, expression sympathetic.
"I'm sorry."
'You liked her a lot?' doesn't seem to need to be asked.

"Thanks," he mutters, but it is sincere, and takes a chocolate.
"It can't go back now. She married him. Guess that's only really setting in now since I went and everything and didn't stop them."
In fact, he was mad when Draco's parents tried to stop it.
"It was probably one of those inevitable things, you know? And I can't even bring myself to hate the guy. I'm just pissed at the situation."
Before he eats the chocolate, he has a wry little smirk of realization.
"No wonder she likes this place so much. Not just because she met him here, but because here she can be herself without everything at home that makes her a celebrity."
The smirk fades a little as he pops the chocolate in his mouth.
