On Japan's shoreline, late at night, present day...

There is a shipwrecked makeshift raft, and beneath one of the broken off logs is a redhead in her mid-teens, a fist near her head clutching to a pair of wire frame glasses. The tides have receded for the evening, and she is either unconscious or sleeping.
Perhaps there would be a passersby that would notice her wrecked little boat?
