A man walks in, slowly, looking lost. The difference with this patron, as opposed to any other new arrival, is that he looked that way before he opened the door, before he even saw the bar.
This isn't the place Jack had been expecting to see. Not that it really matters, as he doesn't really have anywhere to go. He'd just been thinking about finding a place to get some sleep, he wasn't picky about where. After the last 20 months, even the most rat-infested no-tell motel is an improvement. He can't be in the one place he wants to be, anyway, so what does he care?
Still, he'd opened the door to a motel office, not a bar, and now the cocoon of loss that's been keeping him numb for the last hour or two is starting to fall away, wariness taking its place.
He scans the room with a suspicious glance that's just this side of paranoid. He might have been back in the US for a little over 24 hours, but it hasn't been long enough for him to stop the conditioned response, expecting some kind of trick or attack.
[ooc: This Jack has never been in any end-of-the-universe bar before--or for that matter, anywhere outside his 'verse. He's a total versal virgin. Also, in case you couldn't tell, spoilers for season 6 will abound.
ooc, the sequel: Going to bed, but feel free to tag in, if you like! Jack will be in again, though.]
