All in all, it's an excellent night for lurking on rooftops.

Rooftops can get crowded.

Though tonight the Question is intent on his own prey. Jewel thieves he followed here from Hub City just for the heck of it. At the moment, he sees their van but not them.

It's like grand central freakin' rooftop tonight actually.

Faceless dude isn't part of the normal nightlife up here either.

Time for a closer look.

The man without a face isn't looking behind him. But he knows someone is close. "If you're looking for trouble, I assure I know at least two forms of martial arts." It's a rare talents to sound at once like you mean business and like you really don't care.

Rare but more common in the caped and cowled community as it were.

"Either one of them involve explaining what you're up to?"

Martial arts is good to have, really, but if it comes to a fight Artemis is going to be doing things at a distance. That's why she's stopped out of easy lunging distance.

He turns and looks. The costume is not familiar, though the presence of a bow and the color of the outfit imply something.

"Jewel thieves on a road trip from Hub City. It seems like a good opportunity to see the sights somewhere else."

They do imply a lot of things. Some of them are even true.

"Hmm. Not quite what the tourism board had in mind," says Artemis, "They done anything locally yet?"

Vigilante jurisdiction is a tangled and terrible thing.

"I picked up a pamphlet about the local rooftops on the way here. They say it's really nice up here in August." Under the mask, there is the hint of a grin.

"They'll sleeping in the van. I think they either plan a meeting later on, or haven't found their next target.

"And what are you looking out for?"

The pamphlet comment gets a lip twitch in return.

"High voltage handling gear has been going missing locally. Probably it's just some kids selling it for scrap, but..."

"But that's the sort of thing that can point to something bigger. Or so I've heard. I try to avoid something bigger." He's so glad Hub City never gets much supervillain traffic.

"I'm the Question. I don't expect you've heard of me."

She nods. Best to try and stop things early on.

"Artemis, and not off hand no."

"I've never looked for the limelight. And I can't imagine the League wants me, anyway. They already have one wiseguy, from what I hear.

"Though unless I miss my guess, you know about that more than I do." He takes a quick look at the van. No action still.

"There's no quota on archers," comes the quick reply, "Nothing that says you can't start a new team either. It seems to be the thing lately."

[52_dropoff]

"Really..." So the Internet rumors of a "young Justice League" are true? "I can't see myself forming a team anymore than joining one. But it must be nice to have back-up now and then."

Maybe things need a little more data scrubbing on youtube.

"I've had worse times."

"The number of times I've crossed paths with someone else are tiny. Blue Beetle a few times. Batman once. And Green Arrow." He waits to see if she reacts to that.

"He forgot to mention you" she says.

"Sounds like I'm going to have to poke around the computer files some more."
