Ash is not at his best at the moment. Nor would you be, if you were dressed up as an elf, complete with the pointy shoes and putty ears. Someone's been working for paid overtime as Santa's Helper.
He's sucking on a a candy cane and trying to dandle the infant in his arms to keep her from screaming.

There's a toddler nearby, wearing a two-tone jumper and holding a small broom in one hand and a plastic baggie of Cheerios in the other. He seems to sense the infant's distress.
"Hey," he says again, taking a step towards Ash and offering the bag of Cheerios to the baby. "Don' cry."

Another hand - this one more metallic - comes between the little boy's and his daughter's. He knows too much about evil and its disguises to instantly trust a stranger, tiny though he may be. "Where'd you get those from?

He jostles the bag up and down, shaking the cereal within. This jostling not seem to be meant in bad will, supernatural or otherwise.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned Mama shows up, dressed in simple yet nice-looking robes that do not hide the fact that she is pregnant, though not very far along.
"So here's where you've gone, Cepheus," she says, reaching to put a hand on her son's head. "He's not given you trouble, I hope?" she asks Ash.
"Get ready," Cepheus explains, offering the bag to her now.
