Three blonde tough girls, Multifandom, Thatbarplace
DS Sandra Pullman is sitting at a discreet table with a good view of the bar, cradling a large glass of very good white wine whilst she watches proceedings with a certain mildly aloof curiosity. She's immaculately dressed, coiffed and made-up, but there's still something about her manner that very plainly says 'copper'.
She wouldn't object to company, though - especially if you happen to be attractive and male.
Another blonde woman - rather younger this time - is running easily around the lake. Half her patchwork-pilot gear has been dumped for the occasion, leaving her in army boots, well-worn combats with a gun on her belt and navy braces loose over her hips, and a tank top that appears to have been made out of about half-a-dozen other tops: it's entirely comprised of patches of varying blue fabrics, though four slim stripes on her top's thin epaulettes remain to mark her captaincy. Kaidy is stocky, fit and well-muscled, and the course is not providing her with any difficulties thus far.
She'll have to stop soon for a drink and a smoke, though. Anyone want to talk to her when she does?
A third and final blonde is sitting very upright and very alone at a small table which has been carefully chosen to be as far out of the way as possible whilst still affording the best possible view of the bar. On her table Kim has a book (mostly unread) and a small glass of red wine (mostly untouched); she's fascinated by people-watching, but also desperate to attract the bare minimum of attention.
Someone, come and show her that the bar is not quite as scary as she thinks it is, even for someone like her.
