Theo, over there at the next table, stares at her.

And then stares at her some more.

"Maya?" he asks hesitantly.

She turns to look over her shoulder, looking a bit confused. She sniffs, then frowns. "Well, that's my name. Don't wear it out!"

There's a blink and then a laugh. That does sound like her. She just doesn't feel right.

"Um."

Well, he's intelligently expressive.

"How did you get into my house?"

It's still her house until proven otherwise.

Of course it is.

Ah! this is a question he can handle while his brain sorts itself out.

"This isn't your house. This is Milliways. It's a bar at the end of the universe."

"That means someone redirected my gateway thingy." Her frown deepens. "That's kinda problematic. I don't like it when people mess with my stuff."

She crosses her arms on top of her bag and looks like a sulky teenager... but the aura coming off of her is less like a sunny ocean and more like the rising winds of a tornado.

Oh yes. That definitely is Maya there. Maybe not his Maya, but Maya.

"No one messed with your stuff. You go back out the door you'll be right back where you came from."

"I don't want to go back where I came from. I want to go to my mansion." She sighs and pokes the bag, muttering. "Gotta find somewhere to stow this..."

"What's this?" he asks. It's radiating power like mad. Making him itchy.

She opens the zipper and pulls out one of the things inside. "Well, there's this-" It's a sword in a sheath, the handle plain and wrapped with leather. It looks like an old Greek or Roman sword. "Of course I'm not gonna stow that. Haha, that would be silly."

She pats it fondly. It's an old friend, and it certainly radiates enough power. However, the thing left inside seems a great deal more powerful. "I probably shouldn't show you the other thing."

She's dying to show someone. Absolutely dying.

Theo gets up and leans on the table. "Why shouldn't you show me the other thing?"

He knows that look. She wants to tell someone.

"Because it's probably not a good idea if everyone knows that I have it."

She fiddles with the zipper of the bag, though. She waaants to show him.

"I can tell you that no one here will be able to do anything with it on your home world. We're all from different places."

"Oh! Okay." She pulls it out and sets it (very gently) on the table. It's a big hammer, almost like Mjolnir, but made of silver metal and bound with brass. "Isn't it pretty?"

Theo looks insanely impressed at it. He can feel the power. It's definitely not from his pantheon. There's nothing like it in his neck of the woods. At least no hammers.

"What is it?"

"It's called the Unmaker. Hephaestus made it, but since he's stuck in Durance Vile I thought I'd borrow it."

She muffles a giggle. Stealing it had been really exciting. And having a weapon with that much power just makes her giddy.
