Yes, they can sort that out later.

Nicholas adjusts his aim - his next shot grazes one zombie, but his third removes a rather large chunk of the next zombie's skull. He makes a disgusted face, but keeps firing.

That's two bodies blocking the doorway now -- no, make that three, as Tom gets the one Nicholas grazed. The rest of the shamble is still pushing forward, but the pile is at least slowing them down.

He gets in a few more headshots before he has to reload. He makes quick work of removing the empty clip, and then the battle's back on.

Between the two of them, they're making short work of the shamble. A few more shots from each of them, and the last zombie falls.

Tom moves to the door, checking for any more undead.

He keeps his firearm trained on the other side of the door as they approach it. It never hurts to be cautious.

"Does this... happen often?"

Tom laughs -- short, sharp, and not entirely healthy -- and shoves at the pile of his bodies with his foot.

Nodding grimly, he leans his shoulder against the door, pushing it shut as Tom clears the zombies away.

It takes a few minutes, but finally most of the zombie parts are on the other side of the door and Nicholas can shut it.

Tom wipes sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand, closing his eyes.

Nicholas continues leaning on the door for a few more minutes. There's a fair amount of splatter on him - nothing near any vulnerable areas, fortunately, but enough that it's gonna be hard to explain when he gets back home.
