Temporary
High school is a blur to me now, but I remember the layout of the school and where exactly my locker was. I went back to visit a few years ago because they had a memorial for one of my favorite former teachers that died. Mrs. Parker had taught Art and she used to make these collages of pictures of each of her students. Like tons of tiny little pictures all placed together to make one great image. I remember brushing my fingers over my old desk and sitting in that place to see if it had changed. Roy laughed at me, but I thought it was respectful. It was what she had left behind. I think I realized then that I had nothing tangible to leave behind. Maybe some sketches, doodles, of still life and a couple of college credits. I wanted to be remembered for something more so I took the job at Dunder-Mifflin.
In retrospective, I'm not sure that was productive.
