Regarding Transferring Over to Dreamwidth.
To all the members that are on DREAMWIDTH. Make sure you claim your OPENID because we're importing the Livejournal posts over to Dreamwidth and if you have a DW account, it doesn't automatically make your posts connected to your DW account. You have to do a thing called "Claim OPENID" - even if you plan on keeping LJ as your *main* journal.
Claiming your OPENID URL will update all your imported comments, in your journal or in other people's journals, so they're owned by the Dreamwidth account that claimed them: that way you can still manage your old content without having to authenticate to LiveJournal, which you can't do once your LJ account is deleted and purged. (If your account on LJ has already been deleted and purged, unfortunately there's no way to authenticate and claim your OPENID.)
If you go on mixandmatch100.dreamwidth.org right now, you’ll either see your post as a DW account or just a link to your LJ. Which is fine, but then you can’t make any edits to these posts b/c you’ve not claimed your OPENID.
