I'm not sure if this was ever mentioned before on the community, but since 4U. recently graduated from Johnny's Jr and got their own solo page on Johnny's Net/Web, I thought it would be worth mentioning for those that may not know about the free info service that's offered for the Johnny's artists that don't have their own fan club (4U and all the solo Johnny's artists with the exception of Yamapi).
Through the info service, you periodically get e-mails with updates on the artist's activities. If you're subscribed to Johnny's web in any language you'll be able to view pictures that they post with their faces. I haven't had the experience yet since I only recently signed up for the info service, but you should also be able to view the extended Jnet/web videos that are exclusive to JFC members and ballot for their stageplays/concerts. Please note that the service is only offered in Japanese, but it's free and you get some additional benefits, so it's worth joining for those that have this service that you're a fan of. It's a way for JE to keep track of the number of fans for an artist too, so it's a good way to support them as well.
The initial sign-up should work similarly for Johnny's Jr info (UchuuSix and MADE), but that's a paid subscription and you need to be in Japan to pay for the fees or know someone that can do it for you, so I won't go over that as I'm not familiar with the process myself.
You will need a Japanese address to sign-up for the info service. You can use
Tenso, which is a mail forwarding service, to get a Japanese address. I'll be using a Tenso address for this tutorial. Unless you ballot for tickets, you won't actually need the address for anything in relation to the info service other than for signing up.
1. You can access the info service on the artist's Jweb or Jnet page as follows:
2. Once you open the artist's Family Club login page. Scroll down to the bottom. The 2nd to last button is to sign-up as a new member.
3. Next you have to get the application website sent to your email address. Top button below will automatically open your mail app with the details filled in to send a blank e-mail or you can fill in your e-mail address at the bottom and have it sent that way.
The blank e-mail will look like this. Send the e-mail without any text in the body of the e-mail.
4. You should immediately get an e-mail with a link to the application for the info service.
5. Fill in your information in the application. I'm using Bun-chan's info service for the rest of the screencaps. I know he isn't part of the dance family but I already signed up for Yara and 4U and needed someone different to go through and screencap the process ^^"
For the favorite member part you will only be able to choose for 4U. For solo artists it just defaults to that artist.
Using the postal code lookup will automatically fill in the Prefecture, Ward, City block parts of the address.
The parts that I put "Not Needed" those can be left blank when using a Tenso address.
Use the Tenso phone number for the landline phone number part.
Female is the first option and male is the second option.
6. Confirm that all the information listed is correct. Check the box at the bottom and then click to register.
You should then get an 8 digit number that is your member number. The same number will also be e-mailed to you. You use this number to sign in to the artist's family club page.
If you subscribe to Jweb, you can link your account in order to see JFC only content as follows. Sorry, using Bun-chan again as an example.
[Update] As of 2020.02.17, all Jweb subscribers can view artist photos/videos so you no longer have to be a fan club member to see this content.
Fill in your 8 digit member number and password.
Screen you see when everything is set.
You'll have to do this for each artist if you want to be able to view their JFC content on Jweb.
I hope this will be useful for at least some of you. If you run into any issues feel free to comment here or send me a PM and I'll try my best to help. If anyone does sign up for 4U's info service, I'm curious to know around what number they're up to now. Last I saw on twitter they were up to around 25000. On 4U's Pitaraji, they were talking about joining the info service themselves and how it would be embarassing if they got high numbers and something like they wanted numbers 1-4 reserved lol.
