- Rumours said he quitted on April 2010, but came back on August the same year (Might be hiatus for school).
- Absent from Takizawa Kabuki 2010 (April) but can be seen in the stage’s rehearsal in Takizawa Kabuki 2010 DVD Disc 3 Documentary Regular Edition.
- Absent from Arashi’s Sapporo concert in November 2009 due to influenza. When a fan shouted to Akiyama, asking about Inaba, Akiyama shouted to her back “Influenza!”.
- Present at Arashi’s Tokyo Dome concert in 2009 (After Sapporo concert) and was seen hanging out with Takahashi. Inaba hugged Takahashi from behind and tickled him; he then took Takahashi’s scarf and threw it away to the backstage.
- He said when he first joined Arashi’s concert in 2007 (as M.A.D.), Sakurai’s solo “Can’t Let Go” was a bit difficult but the other M.A.D. members could do it well, so he had worked hard on it to be able to match up with them.
- Another story about his first Arashi’s concert was that, when he brought out chairs for Arashi during MC, Ninomiya asked him to introduce himself and he was so nervous to be asked so out of blue.
- He said his family love to go out together, to skiing or climbing mountains. So on one summer day in 2007, he went to beach with his family, the weather wasn’t so nice but he had so much fun playing bodyboard.
- He had a rabbit and a turtle as pets. He caught the rabbit in the forest near his house and got the permission to keep it, after taking it home. The turtle was caught by his elder brother near his neighbourhood.
- He said things cheer him up is when talking to his family, or cycling with his brother early in the morning.

- He eats very slow that sometimes his parents complain or scold him for that.
- He keeps doing stretching since 5th year primary school so his body is so flexible.
- Is a hardworking and humble boy.
- When he was new in M.A.D., he said he was lack of dancing strength; he always missed the steps no matter how hard he tried to follow everyone, and everyone memorized the steps so fast, so he always practised during breaks to improve his dance.
- When he became a Jr., he has decided that the first concert he wanna join in is Arashi’s concert but, he was so nervous and shocked to start his concert in a big dome.
- He said he is poor at voicing out loud, so he had to practise hard for Playzone’07.
- Again, he wasn’t good at memorizing steps, so he forced himself to put more effort than anyone else, for Playzone’07.
- The first time he met M.A.D. members, he was scared of them but claimed that they were so funny, bright and nice guys, that he could be himself being with them.
- He was worried when he got chosen to be in Playzone’07 because he was inexperienced and doubted about his ability, but he wanted to work so hard to be able to match up the other members who had longer experiences than him.

- Ayukawa Taiyo said he was a very noisy boy but his acting is so funny.
- Yamashita Shoon said Akiyama was a very spoiled kid but he always looked after the younger kids.
- Yaotome also complained about how noisy Akiyama was, and he was a glutton.
- He was the youngest member following World Wing Tsubasa Premium 2008 so, he claimed himself as a “bullied” character, but also added that other M.A.D. members always looked after him.

- Thing made him shocked is when his members who are always close to him suddenly become burning up during works and they’d have quarrel about the position, like “It should be here!” and “No, it should be here, right!?” but once they are away from work, they would calm down again and send him mails like “Let’s make it zero about work!” or “We would always be members!”.
