got a new laptop for $100 -pending rebate.
vista's really shitty in all areas. Takes about an hour to open up network connections, if it ever does.
Luckily the laptop came with an XP-MC key, so I installed that.
Bells and wistles, I say. I do like how you can control individual sounds from different programs, but that's all Vista had to offer besides a game of Majong and 3d Chess. They took out alot of features which are helpful by being detailed and (complicated to stupid people).
Instead of looking at what the hell you are defragging by the shades of red, ...it's just a button that says 'Defragging'. A total time waster if its mostly defragged, and you don't know it.
