Today seemed a lot busier than I guess it was, but I still got to cross items off my list. As of today, the cats have enough wet food for the next 54 days, and enough dry food for another month after that. We also have enough boxes of clean litter to last us for the next 6 months (I hope!).
Ian's second Orchestra concert was tonight. He played superbly, as usual. Dinner was $5.00, and consisted of chow mein, fried rice, salad, a spring roll and a funny chicken shu mai that had been fried. Whatever. For the price I'm not going to complain.
Also, I finally soaked and bleached my travel palette to get the moldy paint off. I don't quite remember what I did to make the paint mold, but usually it has something to do with closing the palette up wet, and then not opening it back up to dry later. I'll wait until class tomorrow before I refill the wells though, both to give the palette time to dry, and so I don't have to worry about fresh wet paint in my palette growing mold spores before I even get to use it. Some of my pigments are no longer made (true manganese blue was made from barium manganate, which is no longer available; and the windsor-newton PR88 version of thioindigo violet was discontinued in 2005), and while I still have a couple tubes left of it, I will not be able to replace them exactly, although in the case of the violet apparently quinacridone violet is a good substitute.) Anyway, to make a short story long, I have my art class tomorrow and I need to get started on my AIDS Grove painting.
Finally, I finished scanning the two pieces I was given last week, and have taken my shower so I don't have to cram it in tomorrow, which, between art in San Francisco followed by haircut in Campbell (this was the only day/time she had that could even slightly work), I'm going to be out and about all day. And into the evening if I go to my bereavement group too.
