Korean Farmers vs. US Military: Report Back from Korea
Bay Area activist Christine Ahn has just returned from
a trip to Korea with an 18-member U.S. delegation
organized by Koreans Against War and Neoliberalism.
They traveled to Korea to oppose the expansion of Camp
Humphrey, the US military base in Pyeongtaek, and to
protest the proposed Korea-US Free Trade Agreement.
Join Christine as she shares images and testimony
about Korean villagers and farmers resisting further
encroachment of the U.S. on their lives, livelihoods
and nation.

Delegation members met with elderly Korean farmers of
Pyongtaek, whose farmland and homes were violently
seized by the Korean military to accommodate the
expansion of the U.S. military base. For over four
years, Korean farmers have exhausted every legal
channel and resisted relocation, holding candlelight
vigils for over 800 nights.
This event is organized by Koreans Against War and Neoliberalism, Bay Area.
