Oh shh. Also I am going to hate this tomorrow. Also I'll try and write you romance at some point I promise.
There is nothing that compares to what Joonmyun feels when the hands cover his eyes, familiar, normal boy hands he knows as well as his own, palms hard from years of training, and hears Jongin’s voice whispering in his ear, “Hyung, I did this for you-you deserve it,” as he’s moved down the hall, around the bend, and then Jongin removes his hands, and-well, it’s a sight to behold, is what it is, floor to ceiling streamers and a cake that looks like a-is that dancing Jongin or something, Joonmyun understands nothing-and an overwhelming feeling of joy in the air, from all corners, because it’s Joonmyun’s birthday and they haven’t done anything special for it in years, and Joonmyun never thought Jongin, prickly but somehow lovely Jongin, was capable of such a nice surprise, but clearly he is and it’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for him, and he couldn’t be happier than this (he really loves Jongin sometimes).
Suho couldn't stop a shy, gentle smile from spreading over his face as his eyes fell upon the bed where Kai lay fast asleep, curled into himself, half blown balloons littering either side of him - it was the thought that mattered, after all.
Kai never knew how to react to Suho's affections - it wasn't as though he was a stranger to it or anything; he gotten plenty from his family, friends, and fans - however, he did enjoy the look Suho gave him whenever Kai did surprise him with affection; it'd be swift, it'd pass by quickly, but Suho would just know how much Kai loved him - and Kai loved to leave surprises like that.
