comment for Wired.com on cell phone use

I don't usually comment, but that article enraged me. So I sent in the following comment to Wired.com:

Why are we annoyed by cell phone users but not by other strangers carrying on a conversation? Is the real purpose and motivation REALLY to curb noise? Or is it because we're nosy? If the real purpose is to curb noise, then there should be "No Talking" signs everywhere, on trains, subways, streets, stores, etc. As for the sound proof booths in restaurants? They should sound proof every single table. I haven't seen many single patrons at restaurants. And when I do see a group of people eating together at restaurants, they're usually on speaking terms with each other.
