One last March milonga in Moscow
All that happened on a middle-March Sunday, right before I was about to leave Moscow for a month, and left me in a totally poetic mood...
The first man, I agreed to meet him for a coffee... he was like a complacent cat totally content with life, mellow, sweet, ironic.
The second - one my old-old friend - an enchanting Asian look, married, intelligent, safe, caring. Our verbal tango could not end... I had to drag myself to the milonga!
The third was a suave-suavecito! We didn't dance, just flirt a bit, although he was upset I didn't let him know I was in town. Well, why if that didn't make him crave for a dance with me on that night ))
The fourth was smelling good, as always, and new (the perfume). Like a young lover getting very experienced, strong yet gentle, and sensitive...
The fifth feels like eternal joy I celebrate each time I see him, or even think of him. We did not dance that night, nor the previous, and not the night before... alas! Just watch him and the dazzling red-witch dance two chacareras! Gorgeous, I love you guys, I love the way you are... together!
The sixth, my dear Nordic man - so much in springs and pauses, accents... as in a slow motion movie at times, transparent and crispy like strawberries and brut.
The seventh guy was waiting to invite me for quite a long time; he was possessive, but nice.
My eighth, and last to dance - we just met our eyes (truly, he'd made me feel intrigued for a year, never asked me till that night). My hair still carries his intoxicatingly bewitching perfume. His embrace so powerful, I was conquered, gave in, and melted - we danced it into Paris,Texas - the second time I felt a part of a Creation. Then a tender vals by Sting, so beautiful I was afraid to breathe. And on to La Cumparsita - smartly knit, fun, a dialog. The style.
The last (he also was the sixth), my dear old friend, drove me to the subway and around Moscow at night, a chit-chat on the way - so sweet and caring.
