Ambria had been spending a lot of time lately inside, at the apartment, with Michael. Michael seemed to have developed some great aversion to the outdoors. Someone had to watch him, so while he read through his books and muttered to himself - she did. She couldn't help but wonder what she was missing out on by doing so, however

"Did you tell her that you love her?" Michael asked. He had indeed put the books away, and was waiting for the call to grilled cheese goodness.

He got up and started heading for the kitchen door.

Grant grinned. "No, she was actually wanting to hear about a date. I'm saving the love bit for later. C'mon and let's eat."

[michael_malone]

"You're the man," Michael said. He flashed Grant the thumbs up on his way to the kitchen. "Rock on, Mr. Mayor..."

"And when are you and Eva...?" Grant continued as he led the way kitchenwards.

[michael_malone]

"Ack!"

Michael looked poleaxed.

"This was not about me."

He grumbled a bit, and slunk into his seat at the table.

Confused, Ambria looked from Grant to Michael, awaiting an explaination.

Grant grinned to Ambria and settled down. To Michael, he continued, "Maybe she'd like to go on a date with you, somewhere that isn't here, hmm?"

Michael nibbled his grilled cheese and thought about that.

"Can we come with you when you go to New Orleans?" he asked. "Like a double date?"

"If Ambria wouldn't mind." He looked to Ambria and smiled.

[ambria_hanover]

"I don't mind at all," she said, smiling.

As long as she got to spend time with Grant- that was what mattered.
