Alright so. Am in dire need of assistance. Script Frenzy starts tomorrow, yes? Well, turns out, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO WRITE A SCRIPT. Hell I don't even know if I actually know what one is, or if I just invented the whole thing in my brain. Why did I sign up for this again? I am going to fail miserably. At least in NaNoWriMo, writing a story is not something you can't know just by picking up a book. Unfortunately, I do not keep spare scripts laying around.
So, I have a general idea of what I would like to write about, yeah? Somehow, I do not think this is going to help me. Take NaNoWriMo for example. I signed up for it in August, had a solid plan of what I wanted to write about in September, was making character outlines and plot twists in October, and by the time it came to actually writing it in November, it didn't come out. Something completely different, with no basis whatsoever on what I had been planning on writing for months came out of that. I still don't know what happened. That isn't to say I don't love my NaNo; because I do. It definately came out ten times better than what I had originally planned.
But that brings me back to the first question: How does one even go about writing a script? I do not know the first thing about it, and trying to read about how to write a script is just making my head hurt. I think I may have just set myself up for complete failure. And for having a lot of stress while doing it.
Perhaps I will just write a completely dialogue-filled, no action what-so-ever "script". It will be nothing but talking. At least I know how to do that.
UGH.
This is turning out to be such a pain.
