No one on the corner has swagger like us.

Alright, so. I fail at sleeping, so I decided to update my livejournal instead. I mean, I was on livejournal anyways (haha. Having a good time, I may add) and it has been nine weeks (since graduation! Oh my) so I thought this would be nice.

So! I'm on my laptop (Ifrit, the sexy beast) sitting on my bed, listening to occassionally good, mostly shitty songs on the radio, because my iPod is downstairs and I'm am way too lazy to go get it.

Not to mention, my sister is sleeping on the couch in the family room, and I'd feel bad if I accidently woke her up. So, anyways...

I guess. I've found this new anime/manga series called Nabari no Ou, and it's more than halfway amazing. Erm, meaning that it fucking rocks. I mean, not only is it really easy to get into, the characters are actually original (gasp!) and it's one of those things that, once you're in, you're in. For good. That's it. Period.

So, in addition to having such good side qualities, the plot itself is something that you really can't ignore. It's a simple plot, really, but there's so much emotion, so many driving feelings behind all of the characters that make it seem so much more than it is. It's very bittersweet, really. Especially the Miharu&Yoite aspect. I really can't wait to see how it turns out, since the last chapter ended at a very, very important part. However, I do also feel that from this point on, the manga can't last much longer, since one of the big things they've been talking about from the beginning has finally happened. There's not much more of the original goals that need to be accomplished now.

Anyways. I just heard I rather large crash from downstairs. I contemplated going to check out what it was, but then I didn't. There are a few reasons I think I can factor this a safe choice:

1) Alyssa's down there, so the possibility of it just being her knocking around is quite high.

2) The dogs didn't particularly react. If it was someone breaking into the house or some shit, they would've reacted, since it was someone they didn't know.

3) It's very nearly dawn. I can't imagine a theif/murderer would break into someone's house when people are close to getting up for work, or being early risers, or what have you.

So. I feel justified. I think once it's light out (and I won't have to turn on every light in the house to see anything) I'll go downstairs and check. But for now... back to my livejournal-ing.

I had a dream the other day. And while this may not seem very note-worthy, I generally don't remember my dreams, so. When I do, it's usually because it was scary to me (somehow or another) or because something in it made a particular impression. Or it could be that I just don't dream most of the time, and only remember the ones that I do have...? Anyways.

Right. So. It's kind of hazy 'cause it's been a few days, and it was clearly brought on by too much Nabari no Ou exposure before sleep, but. From what I remember, it starts out at my old house in Tyngsborough, and my family is a ninja family (yes, it's out; Nabari no Ou is in fact, about ninjas. Don't judge it, though! It's nothing like Naruto! At all!).

Anyways, so we're all ninjas. Quite extraordinary ninjas if I do say so myself. I mean, 'cause we were a small faction, but we were taking part in an underground war, and for the most part, we seemed to be doing well. So, that's the basic part. The part that I can remember of it, takes place in the middle of a large battle, part of the ninja war going on, in our front yard in Tyngsborough, really late at night. The faction we were up against were the really evil guys, the ones that have a million plus underlings and fancy weapons and always have some way of playing dirty.

So, we were all spread out across the front yard, expecting a fair, hand-to-hand combat battle, when the enemy starts firing projectiles (like bolts from crossbows, though I distinctly remembering referring to them as "shrapnel") that really freaking sting! when you get hit by them. I know they say in dreams, you aren't supposed to be able to feel pain, but I remember a sharp aching pain coming from the scratches I got from the shrapnel. I mean, since I'm such I cool ninja, I never got directly hit by any, but there were so many (completely filling the sky) that some you only dodged enought to not get impaled.

Anyways, by this time, some of the enemy had also swarmed the front yard, though they were really just the grunt soldiers that could afford getting killed off by us and shrapnel alike. I was running down the yard towards one of my comrades, who, to get out of a situation that involved shrapnel and a few enemy soldiers, stabbed himself in the foot. Don't ask me at all how that could have possibly helped, but he said that he hadn't had a choice, and I had said it had been a good idea. So, somehow, stabbing yourself in the foot is apparently a perfect method to get out of a life threatening situation.

So. By this point, basically all of our forces had been exterminated, and I carried my comrade back to the house, where the rest of us were retreating to on some mutual understanding. Counting up our numbers then, we had only about ten of us left, and everyone was injured to some extent, though Henry (the comrade who stabbed himself in the foot) was by far the worst off.

So, I guess, as some unwritten rule in the ninja world, is that if your opponents flee the battlefield, they concede defeat, and it's officially your win. So, we were all rather surprised when the enemy then began to turn their attack to our house. We knew we were cornered (and even in a dream, that's a friggin' scary feeling) and would have to fight to death, or give up whatever it was that they were willing to break ninja code to get.

And, of course, they were after me. Because I had some all-powerful power sleeping inside of me that they wanted to take adventage of for themselves (or, at least, their leader did) just like the Shinrabanshou from Nabari no Ou. It's also actually possible that I even called it the Shinrabanshou in my dream, but I don't exactly remember.

But, the enemy was breaking in, and they wanted me. The people that could still fight (myself included) retreated to the family room, which is across the house from the living room, which is where the injured were getting treated. So, the enemy had surrounded the house, and there were already some of them attempting to break in via the slider door in the family room. And since the door is glass, and therefore transparent, we could finally see the faces of the enemies we had been fighting all night. (It was dark, and nobody ever really knew what they looked like.)

Turns out, our enemies were orcs. As in straight-out-of-The-Lord-of-the-Rings-movies orcs. And it was fucking creepy.

Anyways, after that, I woke up. So, yeah. I've been meaning to write about this one for a while, so it makes me feel better that I've finally had a had the chance.

Alright, well. I'm done with this entry, I guess. It's rather light out (by now being past six in the morning), so I suppose I should go look around downstairs now. Even though I don't particularly want to.

G'night all!

P.S. Icon is Miharu and Yoite from Nabari no Ou. They = love, bytheway.
