After his mother left, Chloe came to see Clark so they could have breakfast together. She was always excited every time Clark filled her in about his relationship with Oliver; even though he was reluctant and kind of shy to talk about it. After they had breakfast, Chloe followed Clark to the barn where he was doing his chores. She was talking with him while he worked.
“So you’re seeing him tonight?” she asked, curious.
“Yeah, we’re having dinner at his apartment,” he replied, with a smile and in a second he fixed a wooden chair.
“Clark, you two have been together for a few weeks now so why are you still hiding it?” she asked, leaning against the wall.
“That’s the point! Where is the fun if everybody knows? Our relationship is great because we have to hide it,” Clark replied, amused.
“I don’t get you,” Chloe said, rolling her eyes and smiling.
“Oh, by the way, have you talked to Lana? How is she?” Clark asked, in a serious tone, worried about what had happened when he was under the influence of red kryptonite. Even if wasn’t in love with Lana anymore, he still cared about her.
“Yeah, I told her you weren’t yourself and you just used Oliver to shock her,” Chloe replied. “She seemed to be convinced,” she added.
“Good, thanks Chloe,” Clark said, relieved. Suddenly, his cell phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and grinned.
“Hey Ollie,” he said.
“Clark, I’m free for one or two hours. You want to have lunch?” Oliver asked.
“I could eat,” Clark replied, “Where can I meet you?” he asked.
“Come to the penthouse, I’ll be waiting there,” Oliver replied.
“All right, I’ll be there in half an hour then,” Clark said. “I love you,” he added.
“I love you too,” the older man said. Clark hung up and looked back at Chloe who had been listening to their conversation carefully.
“You both are too cute, you know that?” Chloe teased with a smirk.
“You tell me that all the time.” Clark replied with a chuckle.
“Well, I have to go anyway. I’m going to see Jimmy. Have a nice day Clark,” she said cheerfully.
“Thanks Chloe, you have a nice day too,” Clark replied.
After he finished all his chores, Clark had a shower and headed toward Oliver’s penthouse. He found his boyfriend in the kitchen, preparing the lunch. Clark stood behind Oliver, wrapping his arms around his waist and kissed the nape of his neck.
“Hey, when did you get here?” Oliver asked, smiling.
“Just arrived,” Clark replied between kisses. Oliver turned around and captured Clark’s lips possessively. Even if their relationship was now great, their first days as a couple were strange, especially for Clark who wasn’t used to be with a man and was ill at ease when things went too far.

They left Chloe’s apartment quickly and got back at Oliver’s penthouse. They entered in the apartment, and Oliver almost fell, a bit stunned because of the super speed, but Clark caught him in time in his strong arms.
“Wow Clark, I’m still not used to move so fast,” Oliver said, chuckling.
“Well, I guess you’ll have to get used to it,” Clark replied, grinning.
The older man ordered some food for both of them since they were both starving after everything that had happened. They had dinner in the living room, watching a movie.
Afterwards, Oliver led Clark to his bedroom upstairs, taking his hand. The rays of the setting sun and the heat of the summer brought a warm atmosphere to the room where the two lovers were kissing passionately and undressing each other quickly until they were only wearing their underwear. Pushed on the bed, the brunette felt the soft lips of the blonde man making their way from his neck to his abs. But before he could go further, Oliver was stopped by Clark who was holding his shoulders, keeping the older man away from his body.
“Clark, what’s wrong?” Oliver asked, confused.
“I…I’m sorry Ollie,” Clark replied, “I…It was a reflex, I’m not really…I mean, when I’m with a man,” he added, uncomfortable. “You know, I’ve never…”he started to say but was stopped by Oliver who put a finger on his lips.
“Shh…It’s okay Clark,” the blond man said with a smirk, “We’re not in a hurry, take all the time you need,” he added with a comforting smile.
“Okay,” Clark said, relieved and thankful for Oliver’s patience and understanding nature. The handsome blonde arched his back to capture the brunette’s lips and then joined him on the mattress. He lied down next to him, covering their bodies with a soft dark green blanket. Oliver wrapped Clark tightly in his arms, chest against back and he kissed the soft skin of his lover’s shoulder. Clark took Oliver’s hands and squeezed them as he closed his eyes.
“Now, let’s get some sleep, shall we?” Oliver whispered in Clark’s ear.
“Okay, good night,” Clark said, smiling.
“Good night,” Oliver replied, smiling as well.
That night, Clark had slept better than ever, Oliver’s strong arms made him feel safe and there was no other place he would’ve rather been.
