King's Dominion
Went to King's Dominion, VA yesterday..much better park than, Kennywood or Six Flags. Of course traffic on 95 going to and from the park. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get there from northern VA. We got there about 10:30 am so the lines to the rides were not bad at all.
THE RIDES:
The Italian Job Turbo Coaster( based on the movie): the new ride that opened this year, nice fast ride from the start..i wasnt prepared for the sharp turn right off the bat.
Anaconda: Right next to the italian job, another fast ride with 3 loops and lots of twists and spirls.
Rebel Yell: Very bumpy ride, my friend complained her boobs were shakin' too much... -_-
Hypersonic XLC: Another new roller coaster, set-ups like a rocket ready to launch.
Volcano, The Blast Coaster: We probably waited the longest for this ride..also my friend got castrophobics waiting in line for this since part of it is inside. Cool effects and almost like the anaconda but you go inside a tunnel too.
White Water Canyon: Nice wet ride. We all go wet, 2 of my friends got soaks but we pretty much were dry after 30 minutes since is was hot outside **heat advisory**
Tomb Raider: Firefall: If your stomach does like going upside down this is not a ride for you. One of the rides that you actually on it for over 3 minutes. You go upside down about 6-7 times. My friend didnt feel to good after this one..but luckily she didnt puke.
DROP ZONE Stunt Tower: Went on this 2x. My friend said she felt like she was flying..whatev... Great view of the park from 305-foot above... i had my eyes closed coming down..whoosh!!
We did some other rides but those are not really worth mentioning..hehe Its better if you get your tickets online plus you get 20% off. Food was average..starbucks here too... i guess there everywhere now.
