Good things

As soon as I got into work, there was an e-mail waiting for me. NJVC was very interesting to talk to me.

I had a phone interview with their recruiter, and it went like clockwork. I don't think he was expecting this to be as simple as it is - I'm already on island, already have a clearance, and already know the system I'd be working with. It doesn't get much better than that. In other words, I'm a recuriter's wet dream.

I should have thought more about that last sentence before I wrote it. Anyway...

He didn't even flinch when I gave my salary requirement. When he asked what my current salary was, I reworded the question, and told him what my "Total compensation" was, a figure I came up with from my salary, cost of living allowance, 10% on site bonus, and company 401K, retirement, and insurance contribution. Needless to say, if they agree to this, which it sounds like they will, this will be an increase of over 60% of my current base salary.

I'll have more details soon, but things are definitely looking good!
