So holy awesome, guster was something comarable to a religious experience.
matt Pond PA had been opening for guster, but they said tonight, Trippin Balls would be taking their place. when this band walked onstage, they had all this hippy gear on and after a closer look i realized that it was GUSTER! they opened their own show with a 20 minute tripped out song. It was fantastic! i thought i was going to pee myself. seriously. urine, man, URINE! At one point a man in a loin cloth walked onstage with a sword and dueled some fellows from guster. shortly after who comes dancing onstage but CHEWBACCA!!??!! yes, that's right, the craziest space bear in town. Unfortunately he was slayed by the man with the sword. eh, shit happens.
When Guster came back as actual Guster, i rejoiced as if I was a little girl of age 12. They were so much fun. I saw them before, but this time i was much closer, and they played for a lot longer. They had two encores, and for the second one they did exactly what i wanted them to do. They closed out their show with the song "Jesus On The Radio" ,for any of those who know guster, which is an absolutely beautiful song. !AND! they did it ACOUSTICALLY. no mics!, they just walked to the edge of the stage, said it would need to be real quiet, and everyone just watched and listened in awe as they filled our hearts with joy. They couldn't have ended the show more perfectly. AHHLOVE.
great time. I think Nicole would agree.
Today i went with Ari to see the opera scenes that devon were in. That was entertaining. Dev was swell. I just got back from the jazz Ensemble concert which was pretty badass. I wish i could do more with Jazz here. i don't know if my trombone skill would cut it though haha. oh well.
Now i have loads of Ear Training work to do as well as study for both my Theory test and accounting test, both of which are tomorrow. SATAN!!
Tomorrow Ari is hosting a coffeehouse on the 13th floor of Constitution @ 8:30. you should come see. i'm playing. come see. bye
