Dig.

Hmm, last time I posted was when the year was quite young. A teenager now, 2007, has given me many delights. Here are some recent happenings.

My dual internships have been excellent. Sony and Korg have been good to me. lots of good people. lots of free cds!! I've interviewed the keyboard player from Head Automatica, had a beer with Tom Morello (YES that Tom Morello, guitarist of Rage Against the Machine!!!!!!), and met Gordon Kennedy (producer/songwriter to MANY). In fact, I even went to the latter's house in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. Which brings me to another point...

For spring break, Kat and myself drove to magical Nashville, Tennessee! And what a wonderful place it was! I would absolutely love to live there in the very near future. Now I know what everyone is thinking, "But Tim, all they have there is country music, waffle houses, and blue-collar comedians!". First, I love Waffle Houses, so that is a-ok with me! Second, I can deal with seeing lots of "Git-R-Done" stickers on the backs of pickups. Finally, while I still can't wrap my head around modern country music, I absolutely love Folk and Bluegrass, of which there is an abundance of in Nashville. the city is a gem, and is so clean! They even had people walking the streets with brooms and collectors around 10 at night. Insanity! Everyone was so nice, which was a welcome change from the grumpy streets of NY/Long Island. Yuck. We even saw the Decemberists (who had Nashville resident GILLIAN WELCH come up and play with them) when we were there. The cost of living is so much cheaper than anything in New York, and I like the area better anyway! Oh yeah, from my point above, I got to visit Gordon kennedy at his house/studio, which was enormous and magnificent!!! this is a guy who co-wrote "Change the World" by Eric Clapton, and just won his second grammy for recording and producing Peter Frampton's new album. Very cool experience.

So basically, I want to move there yesterday. Anyone who would like to make a trip down there at any point can have a definite trip partner in the form of Tim Segado.

In other news, I thought my summer would be spent here in Strong Island, continuing my internshp with Sony, but alas, the rent is just too damn expensive. I got over it though. It will probably be my last hurrah in West Deptford, so why not make the best of it?! Also, I will be 21, so that will help. WEIRD. Life creeps up on ya. So anyone who is on the fun hunt, should hunt no further than my doorstep. I'm looking at YOU.

Till the next one,
Keep cool my babies.
